*THE CONQUEST OF MECCA continues*
*THE PROPHET (Blessings and Peace of ALLĀH be upon him) PRAYS IN THE SACRED HOUSE AND DELIVERS A SERMON BEFORE QURAISH*
The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of ALLĀH be upon him) closed the door of Ka'abah and let in Usāma and Bilāl to pray and acclaim ALLĀH'S Greatness and Oneness. He directed him is face towards the wall opposite the door, walked three steps and performed Prayer. Then he made circuits inside the House and Glorified and praised ALLĀH (Sub-haanahu wata'aala). Afterwards, he opened the door and went out to the people of Quraish who were awaiting his reaction. Holding the jambs of Ka'abah, the Prophet (Blessings and Peace of ALLĀH be upon him) started delivering the following sermon: "There is no god but ALLĀH. HE has no associates. HE made good HIS promise, supported HIS servant and defeated all the confederates alone. Every claim of prerogative, murders or property, are nothing to do with me, except that of the custody of Ka'abah and supplying water to the pilgrims. Anyone who is slain, even though unintentionally, with club or whip, for him the blood-money is very tough: a hundred camels, forty of them to be pregnant. O people of Quraish! Verily, ALLĀH drove away from you the ardour and fanaticism of Jāhiliyyah (the period of Paganism) and boasting of ancestries, surely, all mankind comes from Ādam and Ādam emanates from earth." Then he recited the verse reading:
Surah Al-Hujraat, Verse 13:
O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. one of the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.
NO REPROACH ON YOU!
He then said: "O people of Quraish, what do you think I would do with you?" They said: "We expect the good from you; you are a noble man and the son of a noble man." He replied: "I will say to you what Joseph had previously said to his brothers, 'No reproach on you this day" go your own way, for you are free!"
{To be continued In-sha-Allāh (If Allāh Wills)...}
"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers." (Qur-ān 51:55)
