*Part 192*
*THE CONQUEST OF MECCA continues*
*THE PROPHET (Blessings and Peace of ALLĀH be upon him) DESTROYS IDOLS IN THE SACRED HOUSE*
The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of ALLĀH be upon him) along with the Immigrants and the supporters entered the Sacred House, whereupon he turned his face towards the Black Stone and circumambulated the Ka'abah. He, after that, started destroying the three hundred and sixty idols existed around the Ka'abah with his bow, while circumambulating and reciting the following verses:
Surah Al-Isra, Verse 81:
وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا
And say: "Truth (i.e. Islamic Monotheism or this Qur-ān or Jihad against polytheists) has come and Batil (falsehood, i.e. Satan or polytheism, etc.) has vanished. Surely! Batil is ever bound to vanish."
Surah Saba, Verse 49:
قُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ
Say (O Muhammad [Blessings and Peace of ALLĀH be upon him]): "The truth (the Quran and Allah's Inspiration) has come, and AlBatil [falsehood - Iblis (Satan)] can neither create anything nor resurrect (anything)."
The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of ALLĀH be upon him) was circumambulating while riding his camel. He was not in the state of ihrām. Upon completing his circumambulation, he took the key of Ka'abah from Uthman Ibn Talhah. He went in and saw the effigies of Abraham and Ishmael (Peace be upon them) throwing divination arrows. He denounced their act saying: "May ALLĀH curse them (the polytheists). I swear by ALLĀH that they (Abraham and Ishmael) had never practiced divination by such shafts." He broke some shafts he saw inside the Ka'abah and ordered the statues be demolished.
{To be continued In-sha-Allāh (If Allāh Wills)...}
"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers." (Qur-ān 51:55)
