Chapter Two The Jealous Wives (Continuation)

Chapter Two The Jealous Wives (Continuation) Ameera’s decision did not come suddenly, nor was it made out of blind emotion. It came after long nights of reflection, prayer, and silent tears. She weighed her future carefully, placing her ambitions on one side and her commitment on the other. When she finally agreed to marry Mallam Maikudi and sacrifice her job, she did so with full awareness of the consequences. When Maikudi heard of her decision, his heart was shaken. Instead of joy alone, fear and concern overwhelmed him. He knew how difficult life could be without stable income, and the thought that Ameera would give up her job because of him troubled his conscience deeply. One evening, they sat together under the shade of a tree near her father’s compound. The atmosphere was calm, but Maikudi’s expression carried worry. “Ameera,” he began slowly, “there is something heavy in my heart.” She turned to him, attentive. “What is it, Maikudi?” He lowered his gaze for a moment before speak...

TAFSEER OF SURAH AN-NASR (Qur’an 110), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-khamis, 5th day of Rajab, 1447AH, Thursday, 25th December, 2025. *_TAFSEER OF SURAH AN-NASR (Qur’an 110), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE_*. BismilLah.  Suurah An-Naṣr, “THE DIVINE HELP” is about, Victory, gratitude, humility, and preparation for the Hereafter. It was revealed towards the end of the Prophet’s sallallahu  alaihi  wasallam life, after the Conquest of Makkah. Islam had spread widely. The Quraysh resistance had collapsed. People were entering Islam in large numbers. This surah was also a subtle farewell message to the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, indicating that his mission was nearing completion. Ibn ‘Abbās (رضي الله عنهما) said: “This surah signified the approaching death of the Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam.” VERSE-BY-VERSE MEANINGS & COMMENTARY Verse 1 إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ “When the help of ALLAH comes and the victory...

THE EVIL OF ENVY

FAJR REMINDER: THE EVIL OF ENVY By: Umm ‘Affān Rajab 4, 1447 (25-December-2025) Envy manifests as the desire for the blessings bestowed upon others to be removed, driven by the fact that the envier covets those same blessings. However, the loss of a blessing by the envied—due to Allāh’s Divine Will—does not result in that blessing being transferred to the envier. Envious individuals wish for blessings to be stripped away, even if those blessings do not come to them. It is essential to recognize that only Allāh grants blessings, and He bestows them upon whomever He chooses. Indeed, harboring envy is a detrimental ailment that can afflict individuals and lead to the destruction of their good deeds. As narrated by Abū Hurayrah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu), the Prophet (ﷺ) cautioned: “Beware of envy, for it consumes good deeds just as fire consumes wood or grass.” [Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4903] By Allāh! The malice of the envious is an ever-present threat from which we should constantly seek Allāh’...

A Message 4 You* [[--- Part 18 ---]]

*A Message 4 You* [[--- Part 18 ---]] ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم Think of it like this. You are in a train. The train is moving. Outside the window, you see beautiful mountains. You see ugly deserts. You see sunny days. You see scary storms. But here is the serious truth: The scenery outside does not matter. What matters is one thing: Where is this train going? You did not buy the ticket. Allah (swt) put you on this train. The destination is decided. You are going back to Him. My People, This world is not for enjoying the view. It is a test. A very, very short exam. Yes. You are sitting in the exam hall right now. Every problem you face—no money, sickness, losing a job, losing a loved one, fear, sadness, pain, delayed marriage, troubles in marital relationship—this is your question paper. What do you do in an exam? Do you cry over the difficult question? Do you get angry at the paper? No. You focus. You write your answers. Your answer is your patience. Your answer ...

Problems Solver

*Problems Solver* ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم Hafsah (r.a) was the daughter of Umar (r.a) and a wife of thethe Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once divorced his wife, Hafsah (r.a). But an order came from Allah (swt). The Angel Gabriel was sent with a message for the Prophet. The angel said: "Take Hafsah back. For she fasts often, and she prays Tahajjud often in the night. She is your wife in Paradise." Think deeply about this. When her marriage was ending, Allah (swt) did not describe her father, her rank, or her personality. He described her night prayers. Her secret worship. Her Tahajjud. Because of this one habit, Allah Himself commanded the Prophet to bring her back. Because of Tahajjud, her place in Paradise was announced. Hafsah was not perfect. Yes. But she held tightly to one powerful secret: praying to Allah in the darkness of night consistently. Look what Tahajjud did for her. If Tahajjud could save a marriage, can it not save yo...

A Message 4 You* [[--- Part 16 ---]]

*A Message 4 You* [[--- Part 16 ---]] ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم Listen, everyone. This life is a test. In this testing class, there are two groups of students. Group One Students: Those who choose to sin. Group Two Students: Those who choose to obey Allah. Allah (swt) knows everything. He knows who is good and who is bad. But He tests us so that on the Day of Judgment, we will judge ourselves. When we see our own failure, we cannot say Allah (swt) is not fair. *Group One Students:* What you called "Small Sins" - maybe you listen to music and or watch movies on TV, tell lie, cheat, look at what half-naked ladies carries on their chests and back (online or offline), prayer when you finished what you are doing not when it's time for prayer, engage in haram romance and or sexual intercourse, patronize people who claim to know why so so and so happened etc...bring serious calamity to you and innocent people. So, wake up! Your sins are not just your own proble...

TAFSEER OF SURAH AL-MASAD (Qur’an 111)

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum athalaatha, 3rd day of Rajab, 1447AH, Tuesday, 23rd December, 2025. *_TAFSEER OF SURAH AL-MASAD (Qur’an 111)_*. BismilLah.  Let's continue with our reminder yesterday. Tafseer of Qur’an 111. Verse 1 “Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!” Meaning: A declaration of loss and destruction, both his actions (“hands”) and his very being. It shows that his efforts against Islam will fail. Verse 2 “His wealth will not benefit him, nor what he earned.” Meaning: Status, money, children, and power cannot save anyone from ALLAH’S judgment. Verse 3 “He will burn in a Fire of blazing flame.” Meaning: A clear warning of Hellfire as the consequence of persistent arrogance and rejection of truth. Verse 4 “And his wife, the carrier of firewood,” Meaning: His wife (Umm Jamīl) actively supported his hostility, spreading slander, planting thorns, and encouraging opposition. She is described as one who fuels the fire of hatred. Verse 5 “Around her neck is a rop...

NO SPECIFIC FAST IN RAJAB

FAJR REMINDER: NO SPECIFIC FAST IN RAJAB By: Umm ‘Affān Rajab 2, 1447 (23-December-2025) In every Lunar month, there are certain recommended fasts, like those on Mondays, Thursdays, and the 13th, 14th, and 15th days. However, it is inappropriate to single out specific days or the entire month of Rajab for fasting or any other type of worship. There is no authentic Ṣaḥiḥ Ḥadīth from the Prophet (ﷺ) that discusses the merits of Rajab, aside from its status as one of the sacred months. Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (Raḥimahullāh) noted: “As for fasting in Rajab in particular, the Aḥadīth concerning that are all Da’īf (weak), and in fact Mawdū’ (fabricated). The scholars do not rely on any of them. They are not among the Da’īf Aḥadīth which have been narrated concerning virtues; rather, most of them are fabricated and false.” [Majmū‘ al-Fatāwā 25/290] Ibn Ḥajar (Raḥimahullāh) also stated: “There has not been narrated concerning the virtue of the month of Rajab, nor fasting the entire ...

Chapter Two The Jealous Wives

Chapter Two The Jealous Wives After the holidays from the university, Mallam Maikudi returned home carrying more than just his bag and books. He carried thoughts, intentions, and a story that weighed heavily on his heart. For the first time in his life, he felt certain about someone, and he knew that keeping such a matter hidden from his parents would be wrong. One quiet evening, after returning from the farm, Maikudi sat with his parents in their small compound. The air was calm, and the sound of insects filled the night. Gathering courage, he began to speak. He told them about Ameera—who she was, her character, her modesty, and her dedication to Islamic knowledge. He spoke slowly, carefully choosing his words, explaining how she had supported him during his most difficult moments, especially throughout the month of Ramadan. He told them how there were days he had nothing to break his fast with, and how Ameera had helped him quietly, without pride or embarrassment. He explained h...

Chapter One The Jealous Wives

Chapter One The Jealous Wives There was a man well known in his community called Mallam Maikudi. His name was spoken with a mixture of respect and curiosity, not because he was born into wealth or power, but because his life itself was a testimony of endurance. He came from a very poor family, one whose roots were deeply planted in hardship. Poverty was not something they visited from time to time; it was a permanent resident in their home, shaping their choices, their struggles, and their prayers. Mallam Maikudi’s parents were typical farmers, people whose hands were hardened by years of labor on the land. They cultivated what their fathers had cultivated before them, relying on simple tools, uncertain weather, and the hope that Allah would place barakah in their efforts. Their lives followed a repetitive cycle—planting, waiting, harvesting, and enduring loss when the harvest failed. They owned no land of great value, only small plots passed down from their forefathers, pieces of...

TAFSEER OF SURAH AL-MASAD (Qur’an 111), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum al-ithnayn, 2nd day of Rajab, 1447AH, Monday, 22nd December, 2025. *_TAFSEER OF SURAH AL-MASAD (Qur’an 111), WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE_*. BismilLah.  Surah Al-Masad (also called Al-Lahab) is a Makkan surah revealed early in the mission of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam. This surah is one of the miracles of the Qur’an as it contained live story that could have been challenged if the Qur'an was truly from ALLAH Azzawajal or not.  When the Prophet sallallahu alaihi  wasallam was commanded to publicly call his people to Islam, he gathered Quraysh at Mount Ṣafā and warned them of ALLAH’S punishment due to their idol worship. His uncle Abu Lahab responded with arrogance and hatred, saying: “Tabban laka! (May you be ruined, destroyed, perish), Is this what you gathered us for?”  This surah was then revealed as a divine response, not merely condemning Abu Lahab as...
