AS SALAAMU ALAYKUM WARAHMATULLAH WABARAKAATUHU. LET'S START TONIGHT'S EDUCATION. OUR TOPIC IS πŸ‘‡.                                                                              *VIRTUE OF SEEKING KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge is facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. Knowledge can also be defined as awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation. Virtue of seeking knowledge is the reasons and significance as to why we seek knowledge. Knowledge is different kinds. Basic knowledge, Scientific knowledge are few, but we will only talk on *islamic knowledge* since we are Muslims.

A lot of people desire knowledge, but they do not work for it. Do you think that you would sit at home all day doing nothing and suddenly come out to the people, being the most knowledgeable person in the society?!
Wallahi, if you desire knowledge, you must seek it!
And what a virtue it is to seek knowledge. Allaah (ο·») says;
*Ω‚ُΩ„ْ Ω‡َΩ„ْ يَΨ³ْΨͺَوِΩ‰ Ω±Ω„َّΨ°ِΩŠΩ†َ يَΨΉْΩ„َΩ…ُΩˆΩ†َ وَΩ±Ω„َّΨ°ِΩŠΩ†َ Ω„َΨ§ يَΨΉْΩ„َΩ…ُΩˆΩ†َ*
*Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?"*
- (Az Zumar 39:9).

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (ο·Ί) said: *_"Lo! Indeed the world is cursed. What is in it is cursed, except for the remembrance of Allaah, what is conducive to that, the knowledgeable person and the learning person."_*
- (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Book of Zuhd, Hadith 2322)-

Abu Hurayrah reported: The Messenger of Allah (ο·Ί) said: *_Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allaah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. People do not gather in the houses of Allaah, reciting the book of Allaah and studying it together, but that tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will cover them, angels will surround them, and Allaah will mention them to those near Him._*
- (S‌ah‌i‌h‌ Muslim 2699).
___*PAGE 5*___.                                        ✍️...

Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allaah (ο·Ί) said: *_Verily, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and earth, even the fish in the depths of the water, seek forgiveness for the scholar. The virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the stars. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. They do not leave behind gold or silver coins, but rather they leave behind knowledge. Whoever has taken hold of it has been given an abundant share._*
- (Sunan Abi‌ Da‌wu‌d 3641).

Mu’awiyah reported: The Messenger of Allaah (ο·Ί) said: *_If Allaah intends goodness for someone, he gives him the understanding of the religion._*
- (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Book of Knowledge, Hadith 71)
There is a tremendous amount of narrations that speak on the virtue of seeking knowledge, and what a virtue it is!. Seeking knowledge is a life long commitment, one that only ends when one dies, for indeed death is the end of life. There are two types of knowledge that are sought.
___*PAGE 7*___.                                   ✍️...

*- First is the knowledge that is fard 'ayn.* This is the knowledge that is obligatory upon every individual, and there is no excuse to not seek this knowledge.
*- Second is the knowledge that is fard kifaayah.* This is the knowledge that is required communally, for the generality of the people. If some persons seek this knowledge, then that covers everyone.
___*PAGE 8*___.

*KNOWLEDGE THAT IS FARD 'AYN*
➖➖➖
This is the knowledge that is obligatory upon every individual, and there is no excuse to not seek this knowledge. This includes knowledge that one needs to perform acts of worship, such as;
*πŸ”·. The prayer*
▫️. This includes knowledge of purification of oneself, and the methods of doing so (such as wudoo' and tayammum) as well as their conditions, and what invalidates them.
___*PAGE 9*___.                                ✍️...

▫️. Also, compulsory on the believer is knowledge of the conditions, pillars, obligatory and voluntary parts of the prayer, the implication of each one of them and what he should do when he makes a mistake in any of them.
▫️. And the prayer itself, how it should be performed, what should be said at each position.
___*PAGE 10*___.                                   ✍️...

*πŸ”·. As Sawm*
If you were to look at your calendar, you would indeed find that the month of Ramadan is almost upon us. May Allaah (ο·») not deprive us of the blessing of witnessing it and beyond.
The believer must know the conditions of the fast, how it's done, as well as what invalidates and nullifies the fast, conditions where it is waived and the expiation for the one who is not able to fast, and so on.
*πŸ”·. Zakah and Hajj*
The one on whom the zakah and Hajj are compulsory has no excuse to not know the ruling concerning them.
___*PAGE 11*___.                                    ✍️...

Also compulsory upon the believer is knowledge of the rights of his Lord upon him, and the rights of the people: relatives and strangers; believers and unbelievers.
In addition, the believer is not exempt from the knowledge of halal and haraam as it concerns him. So the businessman must know the rulings of haraam and halal concerning business lest he falls into error whilst he is unaware. Likewise the food vendors, medical personnel, technical workers and so on, each must know the ruling on what they do. The believer has no excuse of ignorance if he falls into error, in these matters, as he is obligated to know about them.
___*PAGE 12*___.                                 ✍️...

➖➖➖
*KNOWLEDGE THAT IS FARD KIFAAYAH*
➖➖➖
This knowledge is compulsory on the believers, but if sufficient persons undertake learning it, it is waived for overs. This includes knowledge that is required for the generality of the Muslims, as it concerns the Deen. Such as knowledge of the u'loom (sciences) of hadith, fiqh, aqeedah (belief), lughat (language), knowledge of riwaayaat (manners of recitation) and so on. This also includes knowledge of general worldly matters which the people require such as medicine, mathematics, business, and the likes.
___*PAGE 13*___.                                   ✍️...

Seeking this knowledge is recommended, so one needs not limit himself to only that which is obligatory upon him, of knowledge as he might miss out on a lot of goodness. Seeking knowledge is indeed a most noble deed, and the knowledgeable people are the inheritors of the prophets, due to their learning, and calling to the religion of Allaah (ο·»).
___*PAGE 14*___.                                ✍️...

The Messenger of Allaah (ο·Ί) said; *_"Whoever takes a path upon which he seeks knowledge, then Allaah makes a path to Paradise easy for him. And indeed the angels lower their wings in approval to the one seeking knowledge. Indeed forgiveness is sought for the knowledgeable one by whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth, even the fish in the waters.

And the superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the rest of the celestial bodies. Indeed the scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets do not leave behind Dinar or Dirham. The only legacy of the scholars is knowledge, so whoever takes from it, then he has indeed taken the most able share._*
- (At-Tirmidhi 2682)-

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
