Let's continue with our studies from yesterday's reminder on suural Alaq; verses

9–14 (The One Who Prevents Prayer). These verses refer to Abu Jahl, who tried to stop the Prophet ﷺ from praying at the Ka‘bah.

أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَىٰ ۝ عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰ

Meaning:

Have you seen the one who forbids

A servant when he prays?

✨ Commentary

ALLAH Azzawajal defends those who pray. Even if people oppose you for worshipping ALLAH, remain firm. Ramadan teaches: Protect your salah. Increase sujood.

Don’t be shy about your worship.

15–19 (The Command to Prostrate)

كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ ۝ نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ۝ ... كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِب

Meaning:

No! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock, A lying, sinful forelock…No! Do not obey him. Prostrate and draw near.

✨ Commentary

The surah ends with a powerful command: “Prostrate and come close.”The closest a servant is to ALLAH Azzawajal is in sujood.

Ramadan is your season of sujood:

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
