 FAJR REMINDER: A JOURNEY THAT BUILT CHARACTER AND BROTHERHOOD By: Umm Affān Muḥarram 26, 1448 (11-July-2026) The Hijrah of the Prophet (ﷺ) also teaches us a timeless lesson in honesty and integrity. Although many of the Quraysh rejected the Prophet‘s (ﷺ) message and fiercely opposed him, they still entrusted their most valuable possessions to him because they knew him as the most trustworthy of people. As he prepared to migrate to Madīnah, the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed ‘Alī (Raḍiyallāhu 'Anhu) to remain behind and return every trust to its rightful owner before joining him. Allāh Akbar! Even those who persecuted him were not deprived of their rights. Allāh (ﷻ) says: “And verily, you (O Muḥammad ﷺ) are on an exalted standard of character.” [Sūrah Al-Qalam (68): 4] The testimony to the Prophet's noble character did not come from people alone—it also came from the One Who created him.   The Story of the Gift Trays ​There was a pious man who used to regularly visit the graveyard to pray, make dua , and seek forgiveness for his deceased parents and the other inhabitants of the graves. ​One day, after performing his prayers, he felt incredibly fatigued and fell asleep right there among the graves. While asleep, he had a vivid, spiritual dream. ​He saw the graves split open, and the deceased emerged. Suddenly, angels descended from the heavens carrying brilliant, glowing trays covered with light ( nur ) and silk cloths . The angels began walking among the deceased, distributing these trays like gifts.  FAJR REMINDER: THE DIRECTION THAT UNITES EVERY MUSLIM By: Umm Affān Muḥarram 25, 1448 (10-July-2026) Every time a Muslim prepares to stand before Allāh (ﷻ) in Ṣalāt, one important condition must first be fulfilled: facing the Qiblah, the direction of the Ka‘bah. For the one who is close enough to see the Ka‘bah, he must look towards it before beginning his prayer to ensure he is truly facing it. As for the one who is far away and cannot see it, he faces its direction because that is the utmost of his ability. This is why, whenever a Muslim arrives in a new town, city, or country, one of the very first things he seeks is the direction of the Qiblah.  FAJR REMINDER: THE CHOICE IS YOURS By: Umm Affān Muḥarram 24, 1448 (9-July-2026) One of the greatest gifts Allāh has bestowed upon us is guidance. He did not create us aimlessly, nor did He abandon us to confusion. He created us, created our abilities, created our actions, and then showed us the path that leads to His Pleasure and the path that leads to His Anger. Every day we stand at a crossroads, making choices that will either profit our Hereafter or fill it with regret. How Merciful is our Lord that He did not leave us without direction. Allāh is the Creator of our actions. He (ﷻ) says: “While Allāh has created you and what you make (i.e. your actions)!” [Sūrah Aṣ-Ṣāffāt (37): 96] Yet, despite the clarity of this truth, there emerged a deviant sect known as the Qadariyyah, who claimed that Allāh is not the Creator of our actions. They argued that man independently creates and carries out his own deeds, thereby denying a fundamental aspect of Tawḥīd and disbelieving in Allāh. ...

Nothing exists independently of Him, and nothing escapes His Knowledge, Power, or Authority. He alone creates every creature, owns everything completely, places each creation where it belongs, provides for it with perfect justice, knows what is best for it at every stage of its existence, decrees its end when its appointed time arrives, and will resurrect every soul to stand before Him for judgment. How magnificent is our Lord! Our vision is limited, but the Wisdom of Allāh encompasses everything. How often have we grieved over something, only to later realize that Allāh was protecting us from a far greater harm? And how often have we desired something with all our hearts, only to discover that it would have brought us regret? A businessman was once rushing to catch a flight because he was on his way to finalize an important business deal. As he waited, the Adhān (call to prayer) was made. Instead of ignoring the call of his Lord, he left to perform Ṣalāh. By the time he returned, the plane had already departed. When this reality settles in the heart, anxiety begins to fade, complaints become fewer, and reliance upon Allāh grows stronger. We must therefore know and believe with absolute certainty that Allāh wrote all matters fifty thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth.
