Yaumul Jumuat | 25th day of Muharram, 1448 AH | Friday, 10th July, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH ABASA, QUR'AN CHAPTER 80 continues_*. BismilLah. 


Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week. Let's continue with our studies of this beautiful suurah from verses 24-32 which speaks about The Sign of ALLAH Azzawajal in our Sustenance.


Having reminded mankind of the fact that HE created us, ALLAH Azzawajal now directs us to reflect on another obvious sign of HIS power and mercy: the food we eat every day.


Verse 24: "Then let man look at his food." ALLAH Azzawajal commands us to reflect, not merely to look with our eyes, but to think deeply. Where did our food come from? Who sent the rain? Who caused seeds to germinate?

Who gave plants their colours, flavours, nutrients, and seasons?

No farmer, scientist, or government can produce a single grain without ALLAH Azzawajal first providing the rain, soil, sunlight, and life itself.

This verse also encourages us to reflect on whether our food is ḥalāl and earned lawfully, as our physical and spiritual well-being are both affected by what we consume. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH.

Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
