Set Yourself Free
[[-- Episode 4 --]]------------------
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
It cuts deeper when the knife comes from someone you once held close. You never expected the blow from their direction. That is why the wound bleeds for so long. Your mind keeps replaying the scene. Your heart keeps asking, "How could they?"
But here is the question that will set you free:
Who is really hurting here?
They sleep. You cry.
They eat. You burn.
They move on. You stay stuck.
The chains of anger are not holding the people who hurt you. The chain is holding only you. Your feet cannot walk forward to the next better level of life because you are dragging the heavy box of yesterday😃.
Now,
Let me give you Reason Number 3 why you should let go—and this one should make your soul jump with hope.
*Unlimited Reward from Allah swt):*
Allah (swt) makes us a promise that is too good to ignore:
وَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَة مِّثْلُهَا ۖ فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ
"Whoever pardons and makes peace, his reward rests with Allah." 📚(Quran 42:40)
Did you catch that?
Your reward rests with Allah (swt). Not with the person who hurt you. It is kept safe with the One who owns everything in the heavens and the earth.
And here is the mind-blowing part: The reward is without measure.
My People,
When you forgive, Allah (swt) does not count it out like coins. He does not weigh it like food. The scholars said: "It will not be weighed or measured. It will be scooped out for them in abundance."
Imagine that!
A giant scoop of reward, overflowing, just for letting go of a grudge.
Furthermore,
The Prophet (pbuh) was asked: "Who is the best person?" He said: "Everyone who is pure of heart and sincere of speech." They asked: "What is pure of heart?" He said: "It is a heart that has no sin, no injustice, no rancour, and no envy in it.” 📚Narrated by Ibn Maajah (4216)
This means:
A clean heart is a heavy heart. Heavy with reward. Light with peace.
When you go to bed and there is no anger inside you toward anyone, that is the heart that Allah (swt) loves. That is the heart that gets the unlimited reward.
My People,
Letting go does NOT mean you wipe your memory clean. Letting go does NOT mean you must trust the person 100% again. Sure! You must remember the lesson. You must be careful with them next time. You must protect your heart and your trust against future occurrence. That is wisdom, not weakness.
The Final Truth:
You are not forgiving them because they deserve it. You are forgiving them because you deserve peace. You are forgiving them because Allah (swt) promises you unlimited reward. You are forgiving them because you want Allah (swt) to forgive you.
Do it for that giant scoop of reward waiting for you with Allah (swt).
