Don't Forget This
[[--Episode 4--]]-----------------
بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم
Allah (swt) put Prophet Adam (A.S.) and his wife in Paradise. Shaytan came and whispered a lie. He said, “Eat this fruit, and you will live here forever.” Adam listened to that whisper and ate it. What happened? Allah (swt) did not let them stay forever. They had to leave Paradise and come down to Earth. This shows us one big truth: *Shaytan’s promises are always lies.* He promises good things, but the result is always loss.
Shaytan is still doing the same trick with us. When he wants you to do something wrong, he will put sweet lies in your heart, such as:
(1) “Do it, nobody is watching you.” (It's a Lie: Allah (swt) is always watching).
(2) “Don’t worry, Allah (swt) is most forgiving, so just do it.” (It's a Lie: Allah forgives those who repent before they do wrong, not those who use His mercy as an excuse to sin).
(3) “Go to fortune-tellers or use charms to fix your problems, and repent later.” (It's a Lie: this is a big sin - a shirk that takes you away from Allah).
Because of this, Allah gave us a very clear warning in the Quran (Surah Fatir 35:6). He says:
"Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze." 📚Fatir 35:6
This means:
Do not be friends with Shaytan. Do not follow his advice. Open your eyes. He is not your helper; he is your enemy who wants to take you to the Fire.
Shaytan has two main jobs.
First, he whispers to make you do bad things.
Second, and just as dangerous, he whispers to stop you from doing good things that make Allah love you.
For example, when it is time to give charity (Sadaqah), Shaytan rushes to your ear and says: “If you give this money away, you will become poor. Keep it for yourself. You need it more than them.” This is a lie, but many of us fall for it.
Now,
Look at our Christian neighbors. They take good care of their orphans, widows, and their churches. You rarely see their poor people left in a bad state, and their places of worship are well looked after. Why? Because Shaytan has not tricked them in this particular way.
But in our Muslim communities, Shaytan is working very hard. He makes us believe that holding back our money is smart. He makes us chase after quick online scams and throw away thousands of Naira on risky deals that we later regret, yet when it is time to give just 1,000 Naira for the sake of Allah, we feel it is too much.
Remember,
This whole life is a test. Shaytan promised Allah (swt) that he would try to mislead us until the last day. So, shine your eyes (be very alert). See him as the enemy he truly is. Yes. When a whisper comes to your heart, stop and remember prophet Adam (A.S). Ask yourself: “Am I falling for the same lie?” Put your trust in Allah (swt), give your charity sincerely, stay away from forbidden things, and never follow the whisperer. That is how you pass the test.
