TAFSEER OF SUURAH ABASA, QUR'AN 80 continues

Let's continue with our studies of this beautiful suurah.

Verses 13-14: THE GREATNESS OF THE QUR'AN continues. 

Verses 13–14: "It is honoured, exalted and purified  scriptures."

ALLAH Azzawajal describes the lofty status of the Qur'an.

Honoured (مُّكَرَّمَةٍ). The Qur'an is honoured because it is the speech of ALLAH Azzawajal. Nothing is more noble than HIS words.

Exalted (مَّرْفُوعَةٍ)

Its rank is elevated above all other speech and books. It is preserved with ALLAH Azzawajal and honoured among the angels and believers.

Purified (مُّطَهَّرَةٍ)

The Qur'an is free from error, contradiction, falsehood, and corruption. It is perfectly preserved exactly as ALLAH Azzawajal revealed it.

ALLAH Azzawajal says:

"Indeed, it is ALLAH who sent down the Reminder, and indeed, ALLAH will surely preserve it." (Qur'an 15:9)

Verses 15–16: "By the hands of noble and righteous scribes."

These verses refer to the Angels entrusted with conveying and recording ALLAH'S revelation.

The word سَفَرَةٍ (Safarah) refers to Angelic scribes or messengers who faithfully transmit ALLAH'S revelation. ALLAH Azzawajal then describes them as:

كِرَام

(Kirām): noble, honoured and dignified.

بَرَرَةٍ 

(Bararah): righteous, obedient and completely devoted to ALLAH Azzawajal. This highlights the purity of the chain by which the Qur'an reached humanity: from ALLAH Azzawajal, through the trustworthy Angel Jibril, aided by noble Angels, to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This chain of revelation is why ALLAH Azzawajal sometimes uses WE in the Qur’an when it comes to revelation of the Qur’an but uses singular "I" when it comes to Creation and acts of worship. Meaning HE CREATED ALONE and must be WORSHIPPED ALONE (TAWHEED). *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
