*RAISING CHILDREN UPON MURĀQABAH (Knowing Allah Is Always Watching)*
One of the greatest ways to nurture a child is to teach them that Allah is always watching them.
Do not make yourself the center of their obedience by saying, "I'm watching you." Instead, connect their hearts to Allah.
Teach them that.....
"My dear child, pray your salaah and stay away from what Allah has forbidden, because Allah sees you wherever you are.
Nothing is hidden from Him - Even if a deed is as small as a mustard seed and is hidden inside a huge rock, or in the heavens, or deep within the earth, Allah will bring it forth on the Day of Judgment. So always fear Allah and remember that He is watching you."
When a child grows up knowing that Allah sees them at all times, not only when their parents are present.
they develop sincerity, honesty, and taqwā.
Allah says: "O my son! Indeed, if it should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or anywhere in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and All-Aware."
(Sūrah Luqmān 31:16)
This verse i quoted was part of Luqmaan's advice to his son, teaching him that Allah knows and sees everything, no matter how small or hidden and it is one of the greatest foundations for raising children upon murāqabah (awareness that Allah is always watching).
May Allah grant us the ability to raise our children upon Tawheed, Taqwaan, and the understanding that He is always watching them.
