*_DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER_*
Yaumul ahad | 20th day of Muharram, 1448 AH | Sunday, 5th July, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH ABASA, QUR'AN 80 continues_*. BismilLah.
Let's continue with our studies of this beautiful suurah.
Verses 11-12: THE GREATNESS OF THE QUR'AN.
After ALLAH Azzawajal reminded us about the fact that Sincerity is more important than status from verse 1-10, ALLAH Azzawajal turns HIS attention to remind us about the greatness of the Qur'an and it's purpose from verses 11-16.
Verse 11: "No! Indeed! Surely this is a reminder." The word كَلَّا (Kallā) is a strong expression meaning "No indeed!" or "Certainly not!" It draws attention to an important truth. ALLAH Azzawajal declares that the Qur'an is a reminder (tadhkirah). It reminds mankind of: Their Creator. Their purpose in life. The reality of the Hereafter. The consequences of obedience and disobedience.
The Qur'an is not merely a book to be recited; it is a reminder meant to awaken hearts and guide people back to ALLAH Azzawajal.
Verse 12: "So whoever wills may take heed of it."
ALLAH Azzawajal has made HIS guidance clear and accessible. Whoever sincerely desires guidance will benefit from the Qur'an. This does not mean guidance is independent of ALLAH'S will. Rather, whoever sincerely turns to ALLAH Azzawajal and seeks the truth will find the Qur'an to be a source of light and direction.
ALLAH Azzawajal says:
"This is a clear message for mankind, so that they may be warned by it." (Qur'an 14:52). The Qur'an invites; it does not compel. Every individual is responsible for how they respond to ALLAH'S message. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
