*_DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER_*
Yaum Arba'a | 8th day of Swafar, 1448 AH | Wednesday, 22nd July, 2026. *_CONSISTENCY IN FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AFTER DIVORCE IN ISLAM_*. BismilLah.
Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullaahi Wabarakaatuh.
A kind clarification: to those who know me personally, especially regarding my ongoing divorce topic. Please know that my Islamic reminders are never based on my personal experiences or directed at anyone. I simply share whatever beneficial topic comes to mind. If a reminder happens to relate to someone's situation, it is purely coincidental. ALLAH (عز وجل) is my Witness that I never intend to target or indirectly address anyone.
Back to our topic...
One of the greatest responsibilities that remains after divorce is the father's continuous financial support for his children. Divorce ends the marital relationship, but it never ends a father's obligation towards his children.
ALLAH Azzawajal says:
"Mothers may breastfeed their children for two complete years... Upon the father is the mothers' provision and their clothing according to what is acceptable. No person is charged beyond his capacity." (Qur'an 2:233).
ALLAH Azzawajal also says:
"Let the wealthy spend according to his wealth, and he whose provision is restricted should spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not burden any soul beyond what He has given it." (Qur'an 65:7).
This teaches that child support should be according to the father's financial ability. Financial Support Must Be Consistent. Children need regular support for: Food, Clothing,
Housing, Education, Healthcare,
Other reasonable daily needs. A father should not stop or reduce support because of disagreements with his former wife. The children are innocent and should never suffer because of conflict between their parents. That end our topic on divorce. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
