Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage* *Episode 189* *THE ROOTS OF MARITAL PROBLEMS

*﷽ *Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage* *Episode 189* *THE ROOTS OF MARITAL PROBLEMS* Marriage is supposed to be a form of ibadah as prescribed by Allah to mankind. unfortunately, some people do not understand the value and the blessings in it. Today I want to address some of the root causes of marriage problem in our societies. They are as follows:  🔦 Forced Marriage - Most forced marriages fail, bcos they were not build based on love and understanding. When couples refuse to get along, things start to go sore. Therefore, avoid forced marriages, it is haram to force someone into a marriage they don't like. This is one of the trends during Jahiliyya. The messenger prohibits it.  🔦 Arranged marriage - Not as bad as the first, yet, it is supposed to be good, but when couples can't get along due to high expectations they turn against each other. Some arranged marriages work, but many fail, though some couples don't show its failure in order to please parents, but,

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 10th day of Zul Hijjah (31st July 2020). *_EID MUBARAK_*.  BismilLah.  EID MUBARAK TO YOU ALL.  Eidul Adhar is the day of globalized celebrations among Muslims. We are emulating the sacrifice Ibrahim(Abraham peace be upon him) made to ALLAH under the guidance of ALLAH HIMSELF so whoever is capable should sacrifice for ALLAH sake and distribute some of the meat and other food stuff to the needy as taught by our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam which is basically to divide the meat into 3, one for yourself and family, one part as sadaqa to those who couldn't slaughter and the rest as gift to friends and relatives even to the non Muslims. There is no harm in consuming all the meat between you and your family. Lets celebrate the halaal way and fear ALLAH and avoid the so called Sallah dance etc. Visit relatives/friends and share the joy of eid with them. *_May ALLAH accept it from us all and make this eid a joyful and saf

Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage* *Episode 188* *MY FATHER'S ADVICE TO HIS SON

﷽ *Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage* *Episode 188* *MY FATHER'S ADVICE TO HIS SON* The day I got married my father in his final words to his son told me the following advice: ☑️Always eat with your wife - He said to me eating together from the same plate comes with a lot of barakah. It brings about togetherness. Since day one, we have always tried to eat together. And alhamdulillah, even if we are fighting or having issues, eating together necessitate us to talk, so we often reconcile while eating. So it's working. ☑️Don't play with ibadah. - If you play with ibadah, Allah taalah will remove barakah from your life, Marriage and children. Also, when you maintain good relationships with Allah, you continue to have support from Allah. And alhamdulillah, we are living an average life and we are happy. We get time to go for holidays, outings and shopping. So life is all good. ☑️Don't keep grudge - he said if you want shaitan to take charge of your life, then keep

Surah Al-Maeda, Verse 31 and 32

Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: "Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?" Then he became one of those who regretted. #COMMENTARY Sau-at may mean "corpse", with a suggestion of nakedness and shame in two senses: 1. The sense of being exposed without burial, and 2. The sense of being insulted by being violently deprived by the unwarranted murder, of the soul which inhabited it,- the soul, too, of a brother. The thought at last came home to the murderer. It was dreadful indeed to slay any one- the more so as he was a brother, and an innocent righteous brother! But worse still, the murder

THE DU'Ā OF 'ARAFAH

*THE DU'Ā OF 'ARAFAH* The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best du'a is the du'a of Arafah" [Muwaṭṭa]. The single greatest opportunity for one's du'a to be answered is as a pilgrim doing the Ḥajj, in the state of iḥram, outside the blessed city of Makkah, in the plains of Arafāt on the 9th of Dhull Ḥijjah. That is the day Allah's blessings are showered like no other; that is the day people are freed from Jahannam; that is the day of all sins being forgiven and all prayers granted.  But what of those (like all of us this year!) who are not at the plains of Arafāt? Do the blessings still apply?  Ibn `Abbas (r) would spend most of the day in the masjid of his city on the 9th, and make extra du'as and dhikr. And this is reported from some of the other Companions and early scholars. And Imam Aḥmad was asked about gathering in the masjid for worshipping on this day for the one not doing Ḥajj, and he replied, "There is no issue with that! It's just du

Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage* *Episode 187* *SPENDING MORE TIME OUTSIDE

﷽ *Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage* *Episode 187* *SPENDING MORE TIME OUTSIDE* Sadly I have to address the issue of married men who spend more of their time outside their homes leaving their family alone and lonely. It is very important to understand that, your family also have the right to your time. Rasulullah says as narrated by   At-Tirmidhi (3895) narrated from ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The best of you is the best of you to his family, and I am the best of you to my family.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Jami‘, 5625  When you spend more time outside especially during late hours, you are not only leaving them alone but you are crossing the line set up for you by Allah. One reason why some women engage in haram activities such as social media friendships is bcos they lack the presence of their partners. As a husband, you should be home, spend time with you

"My sin" has been interpreted as "the sin against me, in that thou slayest me": in that case thy "sin" may mean either "thy crime in committing a murder," or "thy sin against thyself, for the crime causes real loss to thyself in the Hereafter." See the last clause of the verse. Abel's speech is full of meaning. He is innocent and God-fearing. THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arba'a, 8th day of Dhul Hijjah (Wednesday 29th July, 2020). *_SHARING AN ANIMAL FOR THE SACRIFICE_*. One day he visited, she caught him talking to another woman on phone telling her how he missed sex with her. Which means all this time he was never alone there. So as a result, she too started having many extramarital affairs too. But now she is in a total mess and she likes me to tell her what to do. What I told her is not the reason why I m writing this.  I m writing to tell those men who stay far away from to please reconsider their position. I know it is difficult taking your wives to some places, but At least if you can't take her with you then come back home after every 4 months and st

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 7th day of Dhul Hijjah (Tuesday 28th July, 2020). . *_DON'T MISS FASTING ON ARAFAH DAY NEXT THURSDAY_*. BismilLah.  The Messenger of ALLAH (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “ الحج عرفة “ or “Hajj is all about Arafah“. The Arabic text implies a very important concept of the meaning of Hajj. This short statement means that the whole hajj and its validity is confined in the actual day of Arafah i.e. Hajj becomes valid only when the day of Arafah is observed and witnessed by those who undertake the journey, the pilgrims. Regardless how long the hujjaj stay in Makkah, if they missed that single day, they have then missed the whole Hajj. ANIMALS FOR THE UPCOMING EID SACRIFICE

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 6th day of Dhul Hijjah (Monday 27th July, 2020). *_ANIMALS FOR THE UPCOMING EID SACRIFICE_*. BismilLah.  Eid sacrifice is a Sunnah (recommended act) for any Muslim who is able to do it. Slaughtering the 'Eid sacrifice is better than giving its value in charity. If you are living abroad and cannot find a suitable animal to sacrifice, you can pay money to Islamic charities who buy the animals and slaughter on your behalf as your sacrifice for the poor to enjoy the meat. The best way for more rewards is to buy and slaughter and be slaughted for you and your family to enjoy, given some to those who couldn't slaughter and some to neighbours even if non Muslims or to let your own family sacrifice on your behalf and enjoy its meat.    The sacrificed animal should be from the livestock: cows, camels, sheep and goats. As for the prevailing view in this concern might be that the sheep and goats are the best animals for the sacrifice because t

﷽ *Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage* *Episode 184* *WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR SPOUSE DOES NOT OBSERVE SALAAH (PRAYER)* Salaah takes almost 50% of the worship of Allah. Because it is the only act of ibadah that the Messenger of Allah says whoever leaves Salah is moving towards kufur (disbelieve). So if your spouse is not offering Salaah, do the following:  (1) Inspire them to pray by praying daily and on time.  (2) When it is time, ask them to get up and pray with you.  (3) When they refuse to pray even after being told, then recite the verse of the Qur-ān in which Allah says: O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your beloved families from a Fire whose fuel is mankind and stones, (and) over which are harsh, severe Angels [66:6] .  (4) Then remind your spouse that if they don't pray Salaah, how can their children grow up and love Allah.  (5) Then if you fail to change him/her, then engage in constant du'ā to Allah until your spouse is guided.  May Almighty Allāh

EID DAY'S SACRIFICE

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 5th day of Dhul Hijjah (Sunday 26th July, 2020). *_EID DAY'S SACRIFICE_*. BismilLah.  Eid day Sacrifice means slaughter of an animal in the name of ALLAH The Almighty GOD on the 10th, 11th or 12th of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah. Sacrifice, as practised by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) is an essential religious rite in memory of the sacrifice performed by Prophet Abraham peace be upon him. ALLAH put Abraham to a most difficult trial, the details of which are described in the Quran. "O my Lord! Grant me (Abraham) a righteous (son)!? So ALLAH gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. "Then, when the the son(Ishmael) reached the age to work with him, he said: "O my son I see in a vision that I offer you in sacrifice: Now say what is your view! (The first son, Ishmael) said: "O My father! Do as you are commanded: You will find me if ALLAH so wills, one practising patience and

EATING WITH YOUR LEFT HAND* ➖➖➖ *WHERE IS THE SOPHISTICATION?!

﷽ ➖➖➖ *EATING WITH YOUR LEFT HAND* ➖➖➖ *WHERE IS THE SOPHISTICATION?!* ➖➖➖ Ibn 'Umar reported Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: *_"When any one of you intends to eat (meal), he should eat with his right hand. They are more concerned about being "sophisticated." They see this so-called sophistication as chasing the ways of the western world.  Had they truly understood, it would have been clear to them that no other way surpasses the religion the Messenger (ﷺ) was sent with in sophistication. _ _ Umar ibn Abi Salamah reported: *_The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said to me, “Young man, mention the name of Allaah, eat with your right hand, and eat what it is front of you.”_* (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5061, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2022) _ _ The evidence num

I am 32 years of age.  My ex husband and I dated for 6 years. We where best of friends. I waited until he completed college and started work. My family and his family then met. We got married and had a son. (7 years old now). My husband was short tempered at times but our problems started when I wanted to make him feel he couldn't control me. Every time we argued, I would pack my bags, go to my family and explain. My sisters would phone my husband and shout at him. If he was controlling me I would always dare him that if he wished, he could divorce me. I never wanted divorce. I just had pride and I never wanted to look like a loose woman in his eyes. One day I pushed him so hard that for the first time he beat me and locked me outside. I went to my family, my famil
