EID DAY'S SACRIFICE

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 5th day of Dhul Hijjah (Sunday 26th July, 2020).
*_EID DAY'S SACRIFICE_*. BismilLah.

Eid day Sacrifice means slaughter of an animal in the name of ALLAH The Almighty GOD on the 10th, 11th or 12th of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah.

Sacrifice, as practised by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) is an essential religious rite in memory of the sacrifice performed by Prophet Abraham peace be upon him. ALLAH put Abraham to a most difficult trial, the details of which are described in the Quran. "O my Lord! Grant me (Abraham) a righteous (son)!? So ALLAH gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. "Then, when the the son(Ishmael) reached the age to work with him, he said: "O my son I see in a vision that I offer you in sacrifice: Now say what is your view! (The first son, Ishmael) said: "O My father! Do as you are commanded: You will find me if ALLAH so wills, one practising patience and constancy! "So when they had both submitted their wills (to ALLAH), and he had made him prostrate on his face (for sacrifice), ALLAH called out to Abraham: "O Abraham! You have already fulfilled the vision! "Thus indeed do I reward those who do right. "For this was obviously a trial and I ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: and left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: (Quran 37:100-109).

This is the origin of the Islamic precept of sacrifice in fulfilment of ALLAH's command provided in the Quran: .. to your Lord turn in prayer and sacrifice. (Qur'an 108:2).

The aim of sacrifice, like all other fundamentals of Islam, is to imbibe piety and self righteousness. It also promotes the spirit of sacrifice for a right cause. To explain its purpose, ALLAH says in the Quran. "It is not their meat, nor their blood, that reaches ALLAH, It is the piety that reaches ALLAH: (22:37). Meaning our good intentions.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...
