*MY FATHER'S ADVICE TO HIS SON*
The day I got married my father in his final words to his son told me the following advice:
☑️Always eat with your wife - He said to me eating together from the same plate comes with a lot of barakah. It brings about togetherness. Since day one, we have always tried to eat together. And alhamdulillah, even if we are fighting or having issues, eating together necessitate us to talk, so we often reconcile while eating. So it's working.
☑️Don't play with ibadah. - If you play with ibadah, Allah taalah will remove barakah from your life, Marriage and children. Also, when you maintain good relationships with Allah, you continue to have support from Allah. And alhamdulillah, we are living an average life and we are happy. We get time to go for holidays, outings and shopping. So life is all good.
☑️Don't keep grudge - he said if you want shaitan to take charge of your life, then keep grudges. Shaitan always finds your blindspot in order to bring you down especially in marriage. One of his success is when he breaks marriage relationships. So since then we try to let things go as soon as they happened. We don't sleep with it. We dump it like a garbage.
☑️Live according to the sunnah. - He then said live your life according to sunnah. That is whatever you do should be based on the teachings of our Holy Prophet. If you are to hold this, you will never lose in your life. And he added, educate your self and your family. It is your duty to teach them Islamic lessons. And Alhamdulillah, i am not perfect, but i try so much to live by the sunnah of the Prophet.
And lastly, this is from me. Love and caring have helped my marriage more than I can imagine. Even after 5 years of being together, we still crave for one another every day. We Still talk like boyfriends and girlfriends do. We go out to play, enjoy and relax. We stand for each other every second. Alhamdulillah.
