LETS STRIVE TO BE TRUTHFUL AND FOLLOW THOSE WHO PRACTICE TRUTHFULNESS

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 5th day of Muharram 1447AH, Monday, 30th June 2025.  *_LETS STRIVE TO BE TRUTHFUL AND FOLLOW THOSE WHO PRACTICE TRUTHFULNESS_*. BismilLah.  ALMIGHTY ALLAH Azzawajal says in Qur'an 9:119 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَكُونُواْ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ  O you who have believed, fear ALLAH and be with those who are true. The Ayah says, to adhere to and always say the truth so that you become among its people and be saved from destruction. ALLAH Azzawajal will make a way for you out of your concerns and a refuge. Imam Ahmad recorded that Abdullah bin Mas`ud said that the Messenger of ALLAH said, Hold on to truth, for being truthful leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. Verily, a man will keep saying the truth and striving for truth, until he is written before ALLAH as very truthful (AS-Siddiiq). Beware of lying, for lying leads to sin, and sin leads to the Fire. Verily, the man will keep ly...

MISSING JUMUAT DUE TO LECTURES OR Work ETC

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 4th day of Muharram 1447AH, Sunday, 29th June 2025.  *_MISSING JUMUAT DUE TO LECTURES OR Work ETC_*. BismilLah.  We must understand as Muslims that Jumu‘ah prayer is obligatory for the able-bodied Muslim man and that staying away from it without any effort not to miss it is a grave sin. What is required is to be very keen to attend this prayer regularly, for it is a weekly prayer and weekly Eid for the Muslims, the greatest and best of the days of the week. So it is not permissible to be heedless or negligent about it. Almost all Scholars who qualify for Issuing Fatwas have said that: Jumu‘ah prayer is an individual obligation (fard ‘ayn); it is not permissible to miss it because of working hours study, and the like. ALLAH, may HE be glorified, says “And whoever fears ALLAH - HE will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect” [at-Talaaq 65:2-3]. From this verse, it's clear that we must make our prio...

PRACTICAL Polygamy Survival Guide

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 3rd day of Muharram 1447AH, Saturday, 28th June 2025.  *_PRACTICAL Polygamy Survival Guide_*. BismilLah.  Due to popular requests, I was searching for scholarly books on practical steps to help polygamy marriage couples like myself. I came across the below article which contains excellent practical guidelines. This reminder is long so please treat it as reading a mini book to benefit from it even if you are single.  Sister Dhakiyya Umm Ruqayya presents a practical guide for how to make polygamy work, drawn from personal experience within an Islamic context. Polygamy is often seen as the end of a happy marriage, but it need not be that at all. Take it from me, I’m a happily married first wife and I am a friend to my co-wife, AlhamdulilLah. In fact, she’s sitting in the same room as me as I’m typing this. Polygamy can work if the husband and both or all wives go about it in the right way based on the teachings of Islam. I have hea...

Shinning Our Eye

*Shinning Our Eye* ------------------- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم In Islam, everything considered harmful either to the body, mind, soul or society is prohibited (haram), while whatever is beneficial is permissible (halal). Islam encourage Muslims to sincerely turn to Allah (swt) and prohibits Muslims from complaining around and about regarding their life challenges.. Islam also warn Muslims to stay away from any act of shirk, for it consume their eemaan (Faith). Because, Hafsah bint Umar (RA), reported: *“The sallah of whoever approaches a fortuneteller and asks him about anything will not be accepted for 40 days and nights.”*📚Sahih Muslim Really? Is this serious like this? The scholars said: 👉 the punishment stated in the above hadith is simply for approaching a fortuneteller and asking him/her out of curiosity😳. Yes. Whether the person believes what the fortuneteller said or not. And believing the fortuneteller amounts to disbelief (ie - kufur) in Islam, which is bigger than hav...

Reasons To Let Go* [[---Final Episode----]]

*Reasons To Let Go* [[---Final Episode----]] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Everything in this life is a test. This is why Allah (swt) say: “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient” 📚[Qur’an: Chapter 2, Verse 155] Servants of Allah! The good and bad around us is there to teach us and test us. Yes. Bad things and bad people will show up in our lives, so it’s not about avoiding that completely, but about learning how to cope. So, what we need to do is be patient and steadfast in all circumstances. We should only focus on Allah (swt) and seek His Mercy, Forgiveness and eternal rewards because we’re only here on earth for a very short period of time – our eternal life is yet to come. With that in mind, the trials we go through in life should not get the better of us. Muslim Faithful! A great example shown by our Prophet (pbuh) was when he showed mercy and compassion for the people of Ta’if w...

Jumuat (CONGREGATION PRAYER) IS HERE AGAIN WITH US ALHAMDULILLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 2nd day of Muharram 1447AH, Friday, *_Jumuat (CONGREGATION PRAYER) IS HERE AGAIN WITH US ALHAMDULILLAH_*. BismilLah.  ALLAH The Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an: "O believers, when the call is proclaimed for the prayer on Friday or when it's time for Jumuat, come to the remembrance of ALLAH and leave off business, that is better for you if you did know."Al-Quran 62:9. This verse clearly shows that anything we do even if halaal at jumuat time must be avoided because we are to leave everything and go to masjid to listen to khutbah and join jamaat for the salaat. Do not wait after khutbah then you rush to join the salaat. The khutbah is part of the salaat even if you don't understand the language just sit down and listen to gain its rewards.  Sisters and mothers should be encouraged to go for jumuat as well if the jumuat masjid is not far from them or there is no risk for them on their way. Aim to give to charity each Friday at...

OUR NEW YEAR HAS BEGUN TODAY ALHAMDULILLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 1st day of Muharram 1447AH, Thursday, 26th June 2025. *_OUR NEW YEAR HAS BEGUN TODAY ALHAMDULILLAH_*  BismilLah.  The Hijri calendar is lunar and consists of 12 months. Four of these twelve months are sacred: Dhul Qaeda, Dhul Hijjah, Muharram, and Rajab. ALLAH Azzawajal says; “Indeed, the number of months ordained by ALLAH is twelve, in ALLAH’s Record since the day HE created the heavens and the earth of which four are sacred.” [Qur’an 9:36]. We’ve completed two sacred months already, which granted us an excellent opportunity to come closer to ALLAH Azzawajal, and the third month, Muharram, finishes those three months. It is the first month and marks the beginning of a new Islamic year. This month is “the month of ALLAH ” and contains a special day that marks the most known importance of Muharram. On the 10th of Muharram is the Day of Aashura, and this day was obligatory to fast before fasting in Ramadhan was ordered. “ALLAH’s Mess...

Reasons To Let Go* [[---------Part 3---------]

*Reasons To Let Go* [[---------Part 3---------]] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم When we are in so much anger, we often think too much. Spending time overthinking causes so much energy. And sometimes when we can’t forgive others, we keep grudges inside our heart. It’s not good as it will eventually affect our productivity. It’s better to exhale the negativity like stress and worry by forgiving. Servants of Allah! When we already forgive others who hurt or offend us sincerely, we spread the happiness and our mind will not be occupied with so much stress and worry Now, Continuation of the previous episodes - as promised *Reason Number 3:* We Forgive to Deserve Mercy Upon Us. Yes. We all know the Prophet’s (pbuh) famous saying: *“Have mercy on those on the earth, and the One in heaven will have mercy on you”* 📚 [Tirmidhi] It’s true that we can’t compare the greatness of Allah. Forgiving is a very good deed that reflects our mercy. When we forgive others who hurt or offend us, we sometimes do...

USING OUR INCOME OR WEALTH WISELY

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 29th day of Dhul-Hijjah 1446AH, Wednesday, 25th June 2025. *_USING OUR INCOME OR WEALTH WISELY_*. BismilLaah. Imaam Abu Huraira (may ALLAH be pleased with him) reported ALLAH'S Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: A servant says, My wealth. my wealth, but out of his wealth three things are only his: whatever he eats and makes use of or by means of which he dresses himself and it wears out or he gives as a charity, and this is what he stored for himself (as a reward for the Hereafter), and what is beyond this (it is of no use to you) because you are to depart and leave it for other people. (Sahih Muslim, Book 55, Hadith 6). Let's invest our little savings into the ways of ALLAH Azzawajal such as supporting orphans, support In building Mosques and Islamic Schools, Wells for Communities in need of drinking water, supporting our relatives and those in need etc. These things are our true savings which can benefit us when we die. We don...

Reasons To Let Go* [[----------2️⃣------------]]

*Reasons To Let Go* [[----------2️⃣------------]] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Forgiveness is given to someone who does NOT deserve it.. And you CHOOSE to forgive it instead of taking the revenge. Yes. You COULD take revenge but you chose to become a bigger person and let go of it. Slaves of Allah! The reality on the issue of forgiving people who wronged us even without apologizing is bringing it into practice. To be really honest with yourself, have you always forgiven others for the wrongs they’ve done to you? Or have you just said, *“I forgive you,”* while ill feelings lingered in your heart? We all know that, Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. Yes. And a healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead. But, Allah knows it can be very hard to really forgive someone who hurt you. But the verse below gives us motivation to push ourselves to forgive. *Reason Number 2:* We should push harder to forgive because we want Allah (swt) to forgive us too. *Evidence:* ".وَلْيَعْفُوا۟ وَ...

Not every star shines the loudest

My father never believed I could amount to anything. Not because I was lazy or stubborn. But because I wasn’t Clement. Clement; my elder brother was the first son, the pride of the family. He had the brain of ten boys. The kind of child that neighbors used as an example when scolding theirs. When he passed WAEC with flying colors, we celebrated like it was a wedding. Papa sold one of his plots of land to send Clement to a private university. He even borrowed money from our church. I was in SS2 then. I told Papa I wanted to learn tailoring after school. He waved me off. “Tailor? That’s not a future. Face your books or forget it.” I faced my books, but not much changed. I was average. Not brilliant, I was just… there. When Clement came home on holidays, Papa would kill two chickens. Something he never did for any of us. One day I overheard Papa telling a visitor, “Clement will become a big man. That other one? Let’s just say he’s still looking for himself.” That “other one” was me. ...

Reasons To Let Go

*Reasons To Let Go* [[----------1️⃣-------------]] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم It is hard sometimes for us to forgive the ones who hurt us, betray us, the ones who break our hearts.  This is because, we are often hurt by the people who are closest to us, so it’s natural for the wound to go deeper than the hurt you may endure through a stranger. Largely because you don’t expect hurt to come from their direction. But, Forgiveness is not something we do for that particular person who wronged us, No! it is something we do for ourselves so we can move on. Yes.  We forgive, not because that person deserve it, but because we deserve peace. Allah (swt) say: ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِى ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلْكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلْغَيْظَ وَٱلْعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ "Those who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and *who pardon the people who offend them..."* 📚Aal-i-Imraan (3:134) Now, Good Reasons To Let Go Those Who Offend You: *Reason Numb...

WE ARE THE ARCHITECTS OF OUR OWN SUFFERING

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 28th day of Dhul-Hijjah 1446AH, Tuesday, 24th June 2025 *_WE ARE THE ARCHITECTS OF OUR OWN SUFFERING_*. BismilLah. The sad reality we find ourselves today as humans, especially we, the Muslims is the fact that we hate each other, we envy each other, we blame each other, and we focus on accusing and abusing others. We never focus on ourselves first and try to be good human beings. We all know the many hadith and Qur'an verses on this point I'm raising today.  The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said no one can claim to be a believer if he does not love for others what he loves for himself. This is a well-known authentic hadith, right? But sadly majority of Muslims today cannot claim to pass this basic rule of our deen. We hate our parents and children, we hate our wives and husbands, co-wives hate each other and the worse is to see some who claim to be Muslims even aiding the kuffar to kill Muslims astaghfirullah. This is a serious i...

TO SIN IS NOT THE PROBLEM IN LIFE

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 27th day of Dhul-Hijjah 1446AH, Monday, 23rd June 2025. *_TO SIN IS NOT THE PROBLEM IN LIFE_*. BismilLah.  First of all, what was the difference between our grandfather Aadam (AS) and Iblis (The cursed Satan)? Aadam A.S, admitted his sin and asked forgiveness but Iblis was arrogant and said he was better than Aadam A.S. None of us is perfect, and because of this, we all make mistakes. In fact, even though the prophets never committed major sins, even they made mistakes. We learn this from the very start of the creation of man with Aadam Alayhi Salaam.  When Aadam A.S ate from the forbidden tree, he disobeyed ALLAH. But he was not the only one to disobey ALLAH Azzawajal. The shaytan, Iblis, also disobeyed ALLAH Azzawajal when ALLAH Azzawajal commanded him to bow down to Aadam but he refused. So, if they both did wrong, how did one become a great man and prophet, while the other became the greatest enemy of ALLAH Azzawajal? The diff...

When Allah is with us, forget those against us.

Story to reflect. When Allah is with us, forget those against us. There once lived a time in a city there was a king who was powerful. Everyone was afraid of him and whatever he says is what is done. One-day a stranger came to the city and he does not know of the rules of the king. The king orders that any stranger that comes should slaughter a sheep for him as an offering  This stranger who came was asked to slaughter but because he was a Muslim and had strong faith in Allah. He rejected so the king tried to do everything for him to slaughter for him but he denied. So the king held him and said, Here is my wealth, I will give it to you if you do this service. He said even if you give me your kingship I will not do it. So he took a sword and said to the guard, remove the head of this arrogant stranger. As they took the sword, the stranger started smiling and the king said Out of frustration, the king said to the stranger,  Why are you smiling? The stranger replied becaus...

The prohibition of making ghulul in the deen.

 The prohibition of making ghulul in the deen. Alhamdulillah, ghulul means exaggeration. It is one of the things that leads to shirk. The Christians made ghulul in praising Jesus a.s taking him to the rank of Allah s.w.t Allah says in Quran, An-Nisa' 4:171 يَآأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغۡلُواْ فِي دِينِكُمۡ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡحَقَّۚ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓ أَلۡقَىٰهَآ إِلَىٰ مَرۡيَمَ وَرُوحࣱ مِّنۡهُۖ فَآمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۖ وَلَا تَقُولُواْ ثَلَٰثَةٌۚ ٱنتَهُواْ خَيۡرࣰا لَّكُمۡۚ إِنَّمَا ٱللَّهُ إِلَٰهࣱ وَٰحِدࣱۖ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥ وَلَدࣱۘ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلࣰا O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion[1] or say about Allāh except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allāh and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allāh and His ...
