*Married Women*
[[--- Episode 12 ---]]------------------------------
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
As the saying goes, *"Charity begins at home,"* and so does beauty, grace, and charm. It is often observed that many women take great pains to adorn themselves for weddings, walimahs, naming ceremonies, and other social gatherings. They wear their finest clothes, apply the most exquisite perfumes, and style their hair to perfection—only to return home, strip off those elegant garments, and replace them with old, shabby dresses. Hmmmmmm!
A wise proverb says, *"A woman’s beauty is a treasure meant for her husband’s eyes first."* Yet, some sisters walk around the house with disheveled hair, stained clothes, and torn socks, as if their husbands do not deserve the same effort they put in for strangers. But ask yourself, *"Who is more deserving of my beauty—my lawful husband or the eyes of the public?"*
My Sister,
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) emphasized the importance of looking good for one’s spouse. Aisha (RA) reported that she would adorn herself for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) just as he would beautify himself for her. This mutual effort strengthens love and keeps the heart attached.
Madam!
Why should you look stunning for others while your husband—the man who provides for you, protects you, and shares your life—sees you at your worst? As the saying goes, *"A man’s home is his castle,"* and you, dear sister, are its queen. Should a queen not dress in a manner befitting her throne?
Allah (SWT) has commanded modesty, but He has also encouraged spouses to enjoy each other’s beauty. 📚Surah Al-Baqarah (2:187) reminds us: *"They are clothing for you, and you are clothing for them."* Just as clothing beautifies and protects, so should you beautify yourself for your husband and shield his gaze from wandering.
My Sister ,
A wise woman knows that *"prevention is better than cure."* When you neglect your appearance at home, you leave a gap that Shaytan may exploit. Men are naturally visual, and if a man’s eyes do not find beauty at home, his heart may—Allah forbid—begin to wander.
Do not be among those who *"polish the outside while the inside rusts."* Instead, let your home be where your beauty shines brightest. Wear clean, pleasant clothes, apply a light fragrance, and keep yourself well-groomed—not just for special occasions, but as a daily Sunnah.
