DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 7th day of Dhul-Hijjah 1446AH, Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025.
*_WHY YOU MUST NOT MISS FASTING ON ARAFAH DAY ON THURSDAY_*. BismilLah.
ALHAMDULILLAH, This year Arafaah Day falls on one of the best days to fast so that's a special day never to miss fasting because of the following,
1. It is the day on which the religion was perfected, ALLAH’S Favour was completed and the previous religious way of life (Ahlul Kitaab, Christianity & Jewism) was abrogated. ALLAH Azzawajal says: “This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” [Quran 5:3]. Imam ‘Umar(RA) said, “We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him). It was when he was standing on ‘Arafaah on a Friday.” ALLAHU AKBAR.
2. It is a day of Eid for the people who are performing Hajj. The Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Yawm ‘Arafaah (the day of ‘Arafaah), Yawm al-Nahr (the Day of Sacrifice) and Ayyaam al-Tashreeq (the 3 days following Yawm al-Nahr) are Eid (festival) for us, the people of Islam.
3. Fasting on this day is an expiation for two years. It was reported from Abu Qutaadah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) that the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafat. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” Narrated by Imam Muslim.
4. It is the day of forgiveness of sins, freedom from the Fire and pride in the people who are in hell.
*_We ask ALLAH Azzawajal to grant us the chance to witness this great day and fast only for HIS sake to grant us our heart desires that can only help our eeman_*. Aameen.
