FAJR REMINDER: THE IMPORTANCE OF CORRECT WORSHIP Rabīʿ al-Akhīr 20, 1448 AH (2 October 2026) There is an important distinction between merely performing an act of worship and performing it correctly. A person may perform Wuḍūʾ (ablution), yet it may be invalid. They may perform Ṣalāh (prayer), yet their prayer may be incomplete or invalid. A person may fast from dawn until sunset or even perform Ḥajj, but simply carrying out these acts does not, by itself, guarantee their acceptance by Allāh. This is one of the most important realities a believer must understand: it is possible to perform an act of worship sincerely and yet perform it incorrectly. Sincerity is essential, but sincerity alone is not sufficient. Worship must also conform to the guidance of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. For an act of worship to be accepted, it must be sincerely performed for Allāh and carried out in accordance with the guidance He revealed through His Messenger ﷺ. Ṣalāh is an excellent example. It...
