WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO PLEASE?

BismilLah.

Sometimes, we spend our entire lives trying to please people.

We worry about what they will say.
We fear their criticism.
We change ourselves to gain their approval.

And sometimes, we even compromise what pleases ALLAH Azzawajal just to keep people happy.

But let us remember something important:

WE CANNOT PLEASE EVERY HUMAN BEING.

Even if you do everything right, someone may still misunderstand you, criticise you, reject you, or dislike you.

So why sacrifice your Aakhirah for the approval of people whose approval will not save you on the Day of Judgement?

ALLAH Azzawajal says:

“And whoever fears ALLAH, HE will make for him a way out, and provide for him from where he does not expect.”

📚 Qur’an 65:2–3

The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said:

“Whoever seeks the pleasure of ALLAH even though it makes people angry, ALLAH will be pleased with him and will make the people pleased with him. And whoever seeks the pleasure of people by angering ALLAH, ALLAH will be angry with him and will make the people angry with him.”

📚 Sunan at-Tirmidhi

My dear brothers and sisters, stop chasing people’s approval at the expense of ALLAH’S pleasure.

Do what is right, even when nobody applauds you.

Be sincere, even when nobody notices.

Obey ALLAH Azzawajal, even when it costs you something.

Choose what pleases ALLAH, even when people do not understand your choice.

Because one day, you will stand before ALLAH Azzawajal.

On that Day, people's opinions will mean nothing.

What will matter is:

DID I LIVE MY LIFE TO PLEASE ALLAH?

May ALLAH Azzawajal make HIS pleasure more beloved to us than the approval of people, grant us sincerity in everything we do, strengthen us to obey HIM even when it is difficult, and grant us a beautiful ending upon Eemaan.

Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
