Narrated 'Amir bin Rabi'a:,

The Prophet said, "Whenever you see a funeral procession, stand up till the procession goes ahead of you." Al-Humaidi added, "Till the coffin leaves you behind or is put down."

                                      Volume 2, Book 23, Number 400:

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri :

Allah's Apostle said, When the funeral is ready and the men carry it on their shoulders, if the deceased was righteous it will say, 'Present me (hurriedly),' and if he was not righteous, it will say, 'Woe to it (me)! Where are they taking it (me)?' Its voice is heard by everything except man and if he heard it he would fall unconscious."

Volume 2, Book 23, Number 461:

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar :

Allah's Apostle said, "When anyone of you dies, he is shown his place both in the morning and in the evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise; he is shown his place in it, and if he is from the people of the Hell-Fire; he is shown his place there-in. Then it is said to him, 'This is your place till Allah resurrect you on the Day of Resurrection."

One Sunnah we can learn from the first Hadith is standing up till a funeral procession goes she'd of us. We should stand up till the coffin is laid down or goes ahead of us. We can also remind ourselves the need to be hurry in burrying the dead. When the deseased is a person of Jannah it will say *'Present me hurriedly'*. But when he wasn't a righteous, it will say, *'Woe to me! Where are u taking me it (me)?*. It's voice is heard by everything on Earth except man because man will fall unconscious upon hearing it.

In an authentic narration, a Muslim expired during Prophet's time and it was delayed till morning because he died the previous night. During the Janazah prayers, they was a movement in the coffin for which a Sahaba checked. They were amazed to see a big snake bitting the deseased. When Prophet questioned it why that action, the snake confessed to have been sent by it's fellow snakes awaiting for the man to devour, and that they waited for him yesterday but since they couldn't bring him, they sent him to come and start the punishment here. It is claimed Prophet did nothing to the snake for which it proceeded on it's task.

                                     There's also a narration where Prophet declined in offering a Janazah till the debt of the deseased was paid. We are thereby advise to settle our debts any time soon before we expire or make our relatives do that after our demise. The family should announce as to if anyone have something with the deseased should submit themselves for settlement. We all know debt is a grievance barrier to one's entrance to Jannah. This is one big reason why all sins  of the maytr is forgiven except his/her *debt*.  The third Hadith remind us of how we will be shown our destination in the Akhira every morning and evening when we die.

                                         There's even a Quranic verse supporting this claim. Since one can't be admitted to Jannah unless they die, so is we are shown there when we demise. In a verse in Suratul Yassin which talk about the three Prophets sent to a nation, they were calling people to Tawheed but found it difficult believing in them till a a man from nowhere came encouraging them to obey them. The furious disbelievers killed him and when he met his Lord he pitied for those people because he has been granted Jannah. Our Mum Asiya (the wife of Pharaoh) during her dead was shown her feeling place in Jannah. *May Allah grant us Jannah...Amin*

(From the daughter of Khalid bin Sa id bin Al-'Asi) who said that she had heard the Prophet seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave.

Allah's Apostle used to invoke (Allah): "Allahumma ini a'udhu bika min 'adhabi-l-Qabr, wa min 'adhabi-nnar, wa min fitnati-l-mahya wa-lmamat, wa min fitnati-l-masih ad-dajjal. (O Allah! I seek refuge with you from the punishment in the grave and from the punishment in the Hell fire and from the afflictions of life and death, and the afflictions of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal."

Narrated 'Aisha:

(the wife of the Prophet) Once Allah's Apostle passed by (the grave of) a Jewess whose relatives were weeping over her. He said, "They are weeping over her and she is being tortured in her grave."

End of Today's Education. Subhanakallahuma wabihamdik ash-Hadu an laaila Ilan Anta astagfiruka wa atuuubu ilayhi. *Our attention was drawn by a group member concerning the first episode of this lesson, which we forgot to indicate one has to recite Fatiha in the first rak’at of the janaza prayers. We all know we are to recite Durood Sharif( swalati ibrahim) in the second rakat*. May HE strengthen and make us steadfast in faith. May HE accept our ibaadat and grant us the Good in this World and the Hereafter. May Allah Azza wa jalla forgive and grant us Jannah...AMIN.
