*_DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER_*
Yaum Al-khamis | 21st day of Rabee-ul Awwal, 1448 AH | Thursday, 3rd September, 2026. *_UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT WE SAY IN OUR SALAAT CONTINUES_*. BismilLah.
Let's continue with our understanding of what we say during salaat. Today we will study the meaning of the Tashahhud.
The Tashahhud (التَّشَهُّد) is one of the most profound parts of ṣalaah. It brings together tawḥīd, praise of ALLAH Azzawajal, peace upon the Prophet ﷺ, testimony of faith, and a declaration that our entire life belongs to ALLAH Azzawajal.
The commonly recited Tashahhud is:
Overall meaning
“All greetings of honour, all prayers, and all good things are for ALLAH Azzawajal. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of ALLAH and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of ALLAH. I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except ALLAH, and I testify that Muhammad is HIS servant and Messenger.”
Taḥiyyāt refers to expressions of honour, glorification and reverence.
This reminds us that ALLAH Azzawajal alone deserves the ultimate honour and glorification.
We may respect people, our parents, teachers, leaders and elders, but the highest form of reverence belongs to ALLAH Azzawajal. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
