GET YOUR UMBRELLA ☔

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Imagine a day when the sun is directly above your head. No water. No building. No shade. Everyone is desperately looking for somewhere to escape the unbearable heat, but there is nowhere to hide.

The heat will be so severe that people will long for the judgment to begin just so they can be relieved from standing in that condition.

This is the Day of Judgment.

But on that Day, some people will receive a special protection.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“...a man who gives charity and conceals it so that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given.”

📚 Sahih al-Bukhari 660; Sahih Muslim 1031

And the Prophet ﷺ also said:

“The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.”

📚 Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi

Think about that.

The charity you give today may become a source of shade and protection for you on a Day when there will be no ordinary shade to escape to.

My people,

Islam teaches us to love consistent good deeds. The Prophet ﷺ taught that the deeds most beloved to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small.

So don't wait until you become rich before you start giving.

If you have the means, make sadaqah part of your life. Give frequently, even if it is small. And when you can, give secretly, seeking only the pleasure of Allah.

Shaytan will whisper:

“Don't give today. Money is hard to get.”

“Your family needs everything you have.”

“Keep it. You may need it later.”

“Other people are already giving.”

That is how he tries to discourage us from doing good.

Allah tells us:

“Shaytan threatens you with poverty and commands you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty.”

📖 Qur'an 2:268

Don't allow the fear of poverty to stop you from doing good.

Today, you worry about rent, food, school fees and bills.

But on that Day, your concern will be far greater.

So, get your umbrella today. ☔

Give whatever you can.

Give regularly.

Give sincerely.

And when possible, give secretly.

You may forget the small charity you gave today, but Allah never forgets it.

May Allah make us among those who will receive His shade on the Day when there will be no shade except His. Ameen. 🤲🏽
