بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم

My dear brother, my dear sister,

Let me ask you a simple question. When you are traveling, who is your best friend? Is it the one who makes you laugh and forget the road? Or is it the one who warns you about the dangerous turns ahead and reminds you to pack enough water for the journey?

Of course, it is the one who warns you. Because he wants you to reach home safely.

That is why the one who reminds you to fear Allah (swt), to do good deeds, and to prepare for the life after death is your number one best friend.

Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an:

"And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers." 📚(Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:55)

And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"The religion is sincere advice." The companions asked, "To whom?" He said, "To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk." 📚(Sahih Muslim)

So when someone advises you to pray more, to give charity, to lower your gaze, or to repent—do not feel annoyed. Hug that person in your heart. They are not judging you. They are saving you. They love you for the sake of Allah. They want to see you in Paradise, not in the fire.

Remember, this life is very short. It is just a bridge to the real life—the eternal life in the grave and then in Paradise or Hell.

So we must increase in good deeds. Every prayer, every kind word, every patience is a treasure we send ahead for our real life.

But,

My dear brother, my sister, I must warn you with a loving heart:

Be very careful of people of innovation (bid'ah).

Yes!

What is bid'ah?

It is when someone adds something new to the religion that the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions never did. It might look beautiful. It might sound spiritual. But the Prophet (peace be upon him) warned us clearly. He said:

"The worst of matters are those that are newly invented, and every innovation is misguidance." 📚(Sahih Muslim)

So if someone tells you to worship Allah in a way that the Prophet never did—like celebrating birthdays of prophets, or adding new prayers, or making special group chants that he never taught—please walk away gently.

Why?

Because anything practiced outside the Qur'an and the Sunnah is null and void. Allah (swt) does not accept it. In fact, it can anger Allah because it changes His perfect religion.

Allah (swt) says:

"This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as your religion." 📚(Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:3)

The religion is already perfect. We do not need to add or subtract anything.

So here is my heart-touching request to you:

Hold tightly to the Qur'an and the Sunnah. They are your rope to Allah (swt).

Stay in gatherings where they remind you of death, the grave, Paradise, and Hell. Even if it makes you cry—cry! Those tears are heavy on the scale of good deeds. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"A man who weeps out of fear of Allah will not enter the Fire until the milk returns to the udder (meaning never)." 📚(Tirmidhi)

And avoid gatherings where they speak about Allah without knowledge, or where they mock the Sunnah, or where they add new ways of worship.

Know this: The best friend is the one who tells you the truth, even if it hurts. And the worst enemy is the one who makes you feel good while leading you to the Fire.
