 *THE SUNNĀHS OF ATHAN (CALL FOR PRAYER)* There are five Sunnah actions (i.e. Prophetic actions) recommended by the Prophet – Peace be upon him - Upon hearing the call for the prayer, as mentioned in Zad Al Ma’ad Book, by Ibn Al Qayyem:  1-The hearer should repeat after the Mo’athen (The one who calls for prayer) all words except when the Mo’athen says: (Hayyah Ala As-Sala – i.e. hasten to the prayer) and (Hayyah Ala Al-Falah – i.e. hasten to the salvation), the hearer should say:   لَا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِاللَّهِ  (La Hawla Wala Quwata Ella Belllah – i.e. there is no might and no power except by Allah). (3)*   If the wife does go out to work, then extra thought and organisation are obviously  needed, if the home is not to lose out. This might mean that a husband would be expected to do more in the way of housework than he might really want to do-and in fairness, if a  woman is working long hours as well as the man, then he is a poor Muslim if he does not do his fair share around the house.  Some Muslim men need reminding that the various fatwas (authoritative pronouncements in religious law) on who has responsibility for housework actually vary quite a lot from madhhab to madhhab, and that there is no fixed and rigid Islamic ruling in this respect. The Hanafis, for example (who include most Muslims in Britain), regard housework as a religious obligation binding upon the wife.  When Insulting the Prophet ﷺ Becomes a Political Tactic  This is not the first time that the act of insulting our Prophet ﷺ has been used as a political tool. Those who understand our faith  comprehend how sacred our Prophet ﷺ is to us, and know full well the implications of such provocation. Hence, at times they use this provocation as a tactic for sinister political means. One of the first times this occurred was during the early period of Andalusian history. Beginning from around 850 CE and lasting for at least a few decades, a strange phenomenon arose: Christian saints and leaders would walk to the city center of Cordoba, in front of the Grand Mosque (pictured below), and loudly and unequivocally shout out blasphemies against the Prophet ﷺ , using the most vulgar language and foul imagery imaginable. ﷽ *Series On The Manner & Etiquette of Seeking Knowledge* *Episode 2*  Seeker of knowledge should then focus on the hadiths that have been soundly narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ). It is well-known that the hadiths that have been soundly narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ) are very many, and the seeker of knowledge who is at a beginner or intermediate level cannot learn all of them, but there are some books on this topic which can be referred to, such as ‘Umdat al-Ahkaam by ‘Abd al-Ghani al-Maqdisi (may Allah have mercy on him); al-Arba‘een an-Nawawiyyah by an-Nawawi (RAHIMAHULLAAH); and other brief books. Then after that, he can move on to somewhat longer books, such as Buloogh al-Maraam and al-Muntaqa min Akhbaar al-Mustafa. Then after that, he can read further in the books of hadith, such as Saheeh al-Bukhaari and Saheeh Muslim. (2)* On another level, there are many women who cannot cope with being confined all day with children and domestic affairs, who long to go out to work simply to have something else to do, other people to see and talk to, and a little financial reward at the end of it. A Muslim man should realise that he is a lucky person indeed if his wife his happy to devote her whole time and attention to him and his needs, and those of their children and relations. He should count his blessings and never forget to appreciate what a treasure he has been granted.  In many Muslim societies it is taken for granted that a married woman will pass her  life in this way, and only someone who has travelled extensively from Muslim country to  Muslim country, and had access and the ability to observe the life of Muslim women, can  comment fairly on the enormous weight of boredom that lies over the lives of man

Vigilante justice, or “taking the law into your own hands,” is forbidden in Islam because it leads to social chaos and likely causes even greater harm than the original crimes. In the same manner, it is not permissible for a Muslim to declare war or to commit an act of war without lawful authority. Abu Huraira reported: Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah said, “O Messenger of Allah, if I find another man with my wife, should I leave him alone until I bring four witnesses?” The Prophet said yes. Sa’d said, “Never! The little boy looked up & said, 'My dad is no more, I'm praying for Jannah for him. My mother always keeps crying, I am asking Allah to give her patience. My sister always cries for clothes, I want money for her.' The stranger asked 'do you go to school?' The boy replied, 'yes' 'In which grade do you study?'
