*Episode 31: The Miser*
Ihsan had a stingy uncle. He lived meagerly. He neither spent any of his money, nor gave anything to anybody else. For this reason, no one like him.
This poor miser exchanged everything he owned with gold, because he wanted to see everything he owned before his eyes. He then buried all the gold in his garden.
Every day he took the gold anymore. Somebody must have stolen it. He went crazy with anger.
Ihsan, when he learned about what had happened, went to visit his uncle and said:
"Don't cry for the money. It was not yours. It didn't belong to you. If it had, you wouldn't have buried it in the garden, but you would have used it for your benefit."
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) who took refuge in Allāh from stinginess said in his Hadīth:
البخيل بعيدمن الله بعيد من الجنة بعيد من الناس
رواه الترمذي
*"A stingy person is far from Allāh, far from Paradise and far from other human beings."*
*[At-Tirmidhi]*
