*Episode 38: The Bloody File*

One day Adam was going shopping. He got up early in the morning and went to the market. One by one, he placed all the items he was buying in his small shopping bag. He had no idea that the file he had bought from the hardware store would pierce the bag of liver he bought from the butcher's.

When Adam came home from shopping, he took out the bloody file and left it by the door to clean it up later. A few minutes later, he noticed that a hungry cat had been attracted by the smell of the liver and was licking the file with its tongue.

The strange thing is that the blood on the file was increasing instead of decreasing.

Adam felt sorry for the poor cat, but he chased it away to protect it from hurting itself.

The cat went a little away and frowned at Adam. It was hungry and needed some food, and why was this brutal man chasing him away?

What the poor cat didn't realise was that the blood it had tasted was his own. It had cut its own tongue with the sharp file. When Adam told his father what had happened he laughed and said:

"Some people are like your kitty. They don't realise that the wrong things they do will hurt them one someday. They get upset when people try to stop them from hurting themselves, just like that cat."

Adam grumbled: "We should just let them do the wrong and get their lesson by themselves."

His father heard him and replied:

"Leaving them with their wrong actions is a shortcoming on our part. Our duty is to try to deter people from doing wrong. In this way we not only help those people, but society as well."

Then he recited the following Hadīth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) to Adam:

من رأى منكم منكرا فليغيره بيده فإن لم يستطع فبلسانه فإن لم يستطع فبقلبه

رواه مسلم

*"When any of you sees something disapproved (by Allāh), change it with your hand. If you cannot do this, then change it with your tongue. If you cannot do this, then change it with your heart."*

*[Muslim]*

Source of the Hadīth: Muslim, Kitāb al-Imān Hadīth Number 49.

*Habits Of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ*

Whenever Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) heard someone's kid crying during the prayer, he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to shorten the prayer.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...
