*Today's First Hadīth is about Just!*


حَدَّثَنَا  مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ  دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ  بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْسِمُ غَنِيمَةً  بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ اعْدِلْ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ ‏"‏ شَقِيتَ إِنْ لَمْ أَعْدِلْ ‏"

‏‏.‏

 Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:                        

While Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was distributing the booty at Al-Ja'rana, somebody said to him "Be just (in your  distribution)." The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Verily I would be miserable if I did not act justly."

*Today's Second Hadīth is about War Prisoners!*


حَدَّثَنَا  إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا  مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ  رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ فِي أُسَارَى  بَدْرٍ ‏"‏ لَوْ كَانَ الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَيًّا، ثُمَّ كَلَّمَنِي فِي هَؤُلاَءِ النَّتْنَى، لَتَرَكْتُهُمْ لَهُ ‏"

‏‏.‏

 Narrated Jubair bin Mut`im:                        

The Prophet (ﷺ) talked about war prisoners of Badr saying, "Had Al-Mut`im bin Adi been alive and  interceded with me for these mean people, I would have freed them for his sake."

*Today's Third Hadīth is about Distribution!*


حَدَّثَنَا  عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ  ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ،  قَالَ مَشَيْتُ أَنَا وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ، إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ  صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَعْطَيْتَ بَنِي  الْمُطَّلِبِ وَتَرَكْتَنَا، وَنَحْنُ وَهُمْ مِنْكَ بِمَنْزِلَةٍ  وَاحِدَةٍ‏.‏ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِنَّمَا بَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ وَبَنُو هَاشِمٍ شَىْءٌ وَاحِدٌ ‏"

‏‏.‏  قَالَ اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ وَزَادَ قَالَ جُبَيْرٌ وَلَمْ  يَقْسِمِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِبَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ وَلاَ  لِبَنِي نَوْفَلٍ‏.‏ وَقَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَبْدُ شَمْسٍ وَهَاشِمٌ  وَالْمُطَّلِبُ إِخْوَةٌ لأُمٍّ، وَأُمُّهُمْ عَاتِكَةُ بِنْتُ مُرَّةَ،  وَكَانَ نَوْفَلٌ أَخَاهُمْ لأَبِيهِمْ‏.‏


 Narrated Jubair bin Mut`im:                        

I and `Uthman bin `Affan went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! You have given to  Bani Al-Muttalib and left us although they and we are of the same kinship to you." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)  said, "Bani Muttalib and Bani Hashim are one and the same." The Prophet (ﷺ) did not give a share to Bani  `Abd Shams and Bani Naufai. (Ibn 'Is-haq said, "Abd Shams and Hashim and Al-Muttalib were  maternal brothers and their mother was 'Atika bint Murra and Naufal was their paternal brother.)

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night.
