*THE WOMAN WHO OFFERS SUPPORT AT THE TIME OF CALAMITY*
*"And whatever of blessings (and good things) you have, it is from Allāh..." [Qur'an 16:53]*
In at-Tabaqāt, it is Narrated that Fātimah az-Zahrā' (may Allāh be pleased with her), the daughter of the Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him), used to go hungry for days. One day her husband 'Ali (may Allāh be pleased with him) noticed that she looked pale, and asked her, "What is the matter with you, O' Fātimah?" She said, "For three days we have not not found anything to eat in the house." He said, "Why did you not tell me?" She said: "My father, the Messenger of Allāh, told me on the night I got married: 'O' Fātimah, if 'Ali brings you something then eat it, and if he does not, then do not ask him.'"
But many women specialize in emptying their husbands' pockets. As soon as they see some money there, they declare a state of emergency in the house, and do not calm down until they have taken everything.
Undoubtedly, if a man gives in once, this problem will never end and disputes will eventually arise, which may ultimately result in divorce.
*"Life is too short to shorten it further, so do not try to make it shorter."*
