 *Biggest Opportunity* [[--Episode Three--]] ------------------------------- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are we should not miss out on a single blessing in it. Just like the last ten nights of Ramadan. Conversely, Doing wrong in this month, especially to people, increases the degree of sin more than the same act in other months. Now, Continuation of episode 1 & 2 - as promised *Act Number 4:* The Sacrifice of Eid (Udhiyyah/Layyah) The Ud’hiyah (sacrifice on ‘Eid Al-Adhā) is an emphasised Sunnah that is legislated for both men and women ― it is accepted from a man for himself and his household. Likewise, it is accepted from a woman for herself and her household. So, The least one should sacrifice is one goat (or sheep or ram) and that will suffice him and his family.  The importance of istighfar. Alhamdulillah, A man came to Hasan basri rahimullaah saying, In our land I am, there is scarcity of rainfall so what should? Imam Hasan basri rahimullah said to him, Go and make istighfar. Another came to imam basri r.a complaining not able to give birth, imam basri r.a said to him, Go and make istighfar. Another came saying I have difficulties in my life. Imam Basri rahimullah said to him, Go and make istighfar So his student who were with him asked, O Imam! The first one came and you said make istighfar and the second and third, what is the secret. So imam recited ayah of surah Nuh saying, Nuh 71:10 فَقُلۡتُ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارࣰا  And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.  Recommended acts to do in the first ten days of dhul hijjah. As we know, the daytime of dhul hijjah is better than any day on earth in the sight of Allah and doing a good deed in the sight of Allah is better than jihad. Allah says in Quran, Al-Baqarah 2:203 ۞وَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ فِيٓ أَيَّامࣲ مَّعۡدُودَٰتࣲۚ فَمَن تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوۡمَيۡنِ فَلَآ إِثۡمَ عَلَيۡهِ وَمَن تَأَخَّرَ فَلَآ إِثۡمَ عَلَيۡهِۖ لِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰۗ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّكُمۡ إِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ  And remember Allāh during [specific] numbered days. Then whoever hastens [his departure] in two days - there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays [until the third] - there is no sin upon him - for him who fears Allāh. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): "By the dawn; by the ten nights" [al-Fajr 89:1-2]. Ibn 'Abbas, Ibn al-Zubayr, Mujahid and others of the earlier and later generations said that this refers to the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. Ibn Kathir said: "This is the correct opinion."  The udhiyah animal to be slaughtered for Allah. Alhamdulillah, it is obligatory for one offering the udhiyah not to cut anything from his fingernails or hairs. As reported in hadith, Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When anyone of you intends to sacrifice the animal and enter in the month of Dhul-Hijjah, he should not get his hair cut or nails pared till he hasoffered his sacrifice." [Muslim]. Riyad us saliheen  Book 18, Hadith 196. The animals to slaughter are bahiimatul an'am like cow, sheep, goat, camel. The cow should be two years, the sheep should be six months and above, the goat is one year, camel is four years. As reported, Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, about sacrificial animals, "Six-year-old camels, three- year-old cows and sheep, or older than these."" Muwatta ibn Malik  Book 20, Hadith 151.

 The first ten days of dhul hijjah Alhamdulillah, the first ten days of dhul hijjah is the best days among all days in the year. As reported, Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companionsof the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things." Sahih al-Bukhari 969. It is recommended to do a lot of good deeds during the first ten days of dhul hijjah like reciting Quran, praying a lot of nawafil, making the adkhar saying, Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, laa ilaha illa Allah, Making alot of istighfar. One can also fast in these days and do a lot of charity and swadaqah.

 Purify Your Heart — A Message from the Prophet (SAW) The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Verily, in the body there is a piece of flesh which, if it is sound, the entire body is sound; and if it is corrupt, the entire body is corrupt. Verily, it is the heart.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, 52; Sahih Muslim, 1599) This hadith is short, but deep. Rasulullah (SAW) teaches us that the heart is the center of everything. If our heart is clean, our words, actions, and intentions will also be clean. But if the heart is filled with arrogance, jealousy, hatred, or hypocrisy, then everything else becomes poisoned.
