*Question Asked Thousand Years Ago*
---------------------------------بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
As Ibn `Abbas and Mujahid have stated, Muqatil bin Hayyan said that when the people surrounding the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) asked him about the best ways they should spend,' then, Allah (swt) immediately explained it for them by revealing the Quran verse below, saying:
*"They ask you, [O Muḥammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allāh is Knowing of it."* 📚Al-Baqarah 2:215
Now,
*Two Weeks to Celebrate Eedul-Adha!*
As the Eedul-Adha festival draws closer,
the Quran verse above reminded us *(not to FORGET orphans and the needy in our budgets).* Yes. For Allah is truly the Most Generous, and HE loves generous people more. The most important thing is that, whatever kind treatment we give to orphans and other people in need in this world, Allah will reward us with the luxuries and delicious food of Jannah, multiplying what we gave many times over.
Slaves of Allah!
If you have 10 cups of rice to be used to celebrate the forthcoming Eedul-Adha festival, give one cup 🥤 out to the orphans and the needy fissabilillah, because even Allah (swt) knows that we will find ourselves in situations of lacks and bad economy where we may not have enough. This is why scholars said that we MUST not be amongst the MILLIONAIRES before giving out something in exchange for Jannah. And they are using the Quran verse below as evidence:
*’And they give food, in spite of love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive. [Saying], “We feed you only for the countenance of Allah....”’* 📚(The Noble Qur’an, 76:8-10)
In spite of the love for the food or money - mean that they also don't have enough, but because some people are more poorer than others, hence the necessity to give.
Alhamdulillah!
Every Ahlu-Sunnah masjid who have orphans under their care have started preparing and running around to get something done to the orphanage homes under them to ease celebrating the festival knocking on our doors.
Cries are all over the place in many Ahlu-Sunnah Masaajid that the FISSABILILLAHI collected INTERNALLY is not too bigger than small and can not enable them to do what they are USED to doing. Therefore, we are planning to give little MONETARY support to orphans and needy through the representatives of the orphanage committee members of various Masaajid to add to what they have internally collected as FISSABILILLAHI, so that they can reach out to the respective orphanage homes under their care.
