 ﷽ *DON'T BE SAD* Episode 80 *SOME OTHER EFFECTS OF DEPRESSION* I recently read the translation of Dr. Edward Bodowlski's book, Stop Worrying and Seek Betterment.  ﷽ *300 MIRACLES OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ* Number 53.  *A branch from tree responded to his call, went to him and then returned to its place.* • Sayyidina Abdullah ibn Abbas narrates: Allah's Messenger asked a Bedouin, “Will you  testify that I am the Messenger of Allah if a branch of that tree comes to me when I call  to it?” The Bedouin replied, “Yes.” The Messenger of Allah called to the branch. It  broke off and jumped near him, then jumped back when he told it to do so.” [Tirmidhi; Imam al-Haythami, Majma‟ al-Zawa‟id]

 ﷽ *First Hadīth Of The Day* حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ  عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا  مَرْوَانُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ الأَفْطَسِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ  جُبَيْرٍ، قَالَ سَأَلَنِي يَهُودِيٌّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْحِيرَةِ أَىَّ  الأَجَلَيْنِ قَضَى مُوسَى قُلْتُ لاَ أَدْرِي حَتَّى أَقْدَمَ عَلَى  حَبْرِ الْعَرَبِ فَأَسْأَلَهُ‏.‏ فَقَدِمْتُ، فَسَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ  فَقَالَ قَضَى أَكْثَرَهُمَا وَأَطْيَبَهُمَا، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى  الله عليه وسلم إِذَا قَالَ فَعَلَ‏.‏  Narrated Sa`id bin Jubair:                         A Jew from Hira asked me which one of the two periods Musa (i.e. Prophet Moses) completed. I said,  "I don't know, (but wait) till I see the most learned 'Arab and inquire him about it." So, I went to Ibn  `Abbas and asked him. He replied, "Moses completed the longer and better period." ﷽  *Surah Yunus, Verse 1:* الر تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْحَكِيمِ Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Book (the Quran) Al-Hakim [showing lawful and unlawful things, explaining Allah's (Divine) Laws for mankind, leading them to eternal happiness by ordering them to follow the true Islamic Monotheism, - worshipping none but Allah Alone - that will guide them to Paradise and save them from Hell]. #COMMENTARY Āyat = Signs, or Verses of the Qur-ān. Here both meanings are to be understood. Each verse is a nugget of wisdom. And in the verses immediately following, e.g, Qur-ān chapter 10, verses 3-6, examples are given of the wonders of ALLĀH's material Creation.  ﷽ *THE ABBREVIATED LETTERS (AL-MUQATTA'ĀT) OF THE GLORIOUS QUR-ĀN* Certainly Sūras have certain initials prefixed to them, which are called the "Abbreviated letters." A number of conjectures have been made as to their meaning. Opinions are divided as to the exact meaning of each particular letter or combination of letters, and it is agreed that only Allāh (Sub-haanahu wata'aala) knows their exact meaning. Their presence is not inconsistent with the character of the Glorious Qur-ān as a "plain book." The book of nature is also a plain book, but how few can fully understand it? Every one can get out of the Qur-ān plain guidance for his life according to his capacity for spiritual understanding. As his capacity grows, so will his understanding grow. The whole Book is a Record for all time. It must necessarily contain that only gradually unfold themselves to humanity.  ﷽ *INTRODUCTION TO SŪRAT YŪNUS (QUR-ĀN CHAPTER 10)* Chronologically this Sūra and the five that follow (chapter xi, xii, xiii, xiv, and xv) are closely connected, and were revealed in the late Makkan period, as the great event of the Hijrat was gradually approaching down the stream of Time. But their chronology has no particular significance. On the other hand their arrangement in the gradation of Qur-ānic teaching fits in with the subject-matter. Qur-ān Chapter viii, and Qur-ān Chapter ix, were mainly concerned with the first questions that arose on the formation of the new and organised Community of Islam in its conflict with those who wished to suppress or destroy it or use force to prevent its growth and the consolidation of its ideals. The present group leads us to the questions that face us when external hostility has been met, and our relations to Almighty ALLĀH have to be considered from a higher stand-point than that of self-preservation. ...

 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 16th day of Dhul-QA'adah (Saturday, 26th June 2021). *_A VALUABLE LESSON_*. BismilLah.  Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: When ALLAH intends to punish a group of people for their disobedience, the punishment afflicts everyone among them. Then they are resurrected according to their deeds. Sahih Muslim 2879.  This hadith highlights the fact that we CANNOT be quite when we noticed evil or bad deeds ongoing such as zina and religious innovations in our Muslim communities else when ALLAH'S punishment descend, it will affect us all and that's exactly the condition of the ummah today so let's wake up from our silence and speak with wisdom and knowledge beginning from our own relatives.  ﷽ *DON'T BE SAD* Episode 79 *DEPRESSION: A CAUSE OF ULCERS* "You will not be afflicted by an ulcer by virtue of what you eat, but instead by virtue of what eats you." This is a quote taken from Dr. Joseph F. Mantagno's book, The Problem Of Nervousness. The renowned Arab poet Al-Mutanabbi said: "And stress transforms obesity into scrawniness, It whitens the hair of the young man and makes him a mess." And according to Life magazine, ulcers rank tenth in the list of deadly diseases.

 ﷽ *300 MIRACLES OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ* Number 52.  *At Hudaibiya, the water of a well had dried out, so the Messenger of Allah rinsed his mouth into it and the water levels rose up once again.* • Narrated Sayyidina al-Bara: “We were one thousand four hundred persons on the day of Al-Hudaibiya, and (at) Al-Hudaibiya (there) was a well. We drew out its water not leaving even a single drop. The Prophet sat at the edge of the well and asked for some water with which he rinsed his mouth, and then he threw it out into the well. We stayed for a short while and then drew water from the well and quenched our thirst, and even our riding animals drank water to their satisfaction.” [Bukhari]

﷽ *First Hadīth Of The Day* حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ  حَمْزَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ  شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ  بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو  سُفْيَانَ، أَنَّ هِرَقْلَ، قَالَ لَهُ سَأَلْتُكَ مَاذَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ  فَزَعَمْتَ أَنَّهُ أَمَرَكُمْ بِالصَّلاَةِ وَالصِّدْقِ وَالْعَفَافِ  وَالْوَفَاءِ بِالْعَهْدِ وَأَدَاءِ الأَمَانَةِ‏.‏ قَالَ وَهَذِهِ صِفَةُ  نَبِيٍّ‏.‏  Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas:                         Abu Sufyan told me that Heraclius said to him, "When I inquired you what he (i.e. Muhammad)  ordered you, you replied that he ordered you to establish the prayer, to speak the truth, to be chaste, to  keep promises and to pay back trusts."  ﷽ *Alhamdulillah!* We have successfully come to the end of Sūrat At-Taubah, or The Repentance (Qur-ān Chapter 9) in my Daily Reminders of The Arabic Text, Translation and Commentary of two (2) Verses from the Glorious Qur-ān everyday. First of all, I wish to offer my special thanks and gratitude to Almighty Allāh my Creator, who is the First, the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden for giving me the life, the permission, the assistance, the health, the wealth, the strength, the courage, tolerance, perseverance, knowledge, wisdom and skill to undertake this gigantic Pure Islamic Education project. I also offer special prayers to His noble Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him), the seal of all Prophets. *Surah At-Taubah, Verse 127:* وَإِذَا مَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انصَرَفُوا صَرَفَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ And whenever there comes down a Surah (chapter from the Quran), they look at one another (saying): "Does any one see you?" Then they turn away. Allah has turned their hearts (from the light) because they are a people that understand not. #COMMENTARY Even the Unbelievers, in their heart and conscience, feel uncomfortable when they turn away from Faith and Truth, and therefore their turning aside is figured by furtive glances, such as we may suppose literally to have been cast by the Hypocrites in the assemblies of the Holy Prophet ﷺ . Then they slink away, feeling superior in their minds. And yet, if they only knew it, their contumacy deprives them of ALLĀH's grace and light.
