*_CAUSES OF RAMPANT DIVORCE IN OUR CONTEMPORARY MARRIAGES continues_*. Bismillah.
On Tuesday's reminder, we reminded each other about the many divorces happening in our communities today, what are the causes?
To start with, there is carelessness and superficiality, in making the choice of the concept in the first place. So many people marry men/women for their wealth/beauty, they fall in love and they marry. Then few months or a year later, they are divorced, because he/she has gotten what he/she wanted. Nothing wrong to choose based on these BUT did he/she have the eemaan/knowledge required to be a husband or wife?
Unfortunately, many Muslims, young and old, are attracted to superficial looks, which are not that durable. What is durable is the faith in the heart and the Taqwa of ALLAH Azzawajal, Praised and Exalted be HE. If he or she has the looks/wealth and more importantly eemaan/fear of ALLAH Azzawajal then that's what you should be looking at. Today some even marry non Muslims/ so so-called white or foreign women because of money or wanting to travel abroad, where lies your eemaan? Have you forgotten death? Is that man or woman you want to entrust your children with when you die? Are you truly preparing for death and thinking of children to pray for you or your partner to pray for you as sadaqatul Jaariyah?. Think and change for Allah's sake. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
