Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala first addresses them with love then He threatens them.
It is because a person works under condition.
*It is either out of love or fear.*
● Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala first says,  *“…I preferred you over the worlds,”* as if to say: You were My favorite child.
He then threatens them.
*Know that a Day will come when no person will help another*.
___*PAGE 2*___.
✍️...

Our parents, our spouse, our children and our friends, everyone will leave us.
● Then we will be standing alone before Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala answerable for our deeds.
No intercession, ransom, or assistance will be accepted on the behalf of the unbelievers.
No type of help or cooperation will be offered to them.
The judgment on that Day will be up to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala alone.
And He is the Most Just.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.                                       Al-Baqara : 49..

*And [recall] when We saved your forefathers from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord*
___*PAGE 4*___.
✍️...

In this ayah, the Children of Israel are being commanded to recall when they were in the slavery of Pharaoh and Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala saved them. *Pharaoh had a dream in which he saw a fire emerge from Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), and then the fire entered the houses of the Coptics of Egypt with the exception of the Children of Israel.*
*Its purport was that his kingship would be toppled by a man among the Children of Israel.*
_It was also said that some of Pharaoh’s entourage said that the Children of Israel were expecting a man among them to arise who would establish a state for them.
____*PAGE 5*____.
✍️...

*After the dream, Pharaoh ordered that every newborn male among the Children of Israel be killed and that the girls be left alone* *He also commanded that the Children of Israel be given tasks of hard labor and assigned the most humiliating jobs.*
_They were to build the pyramids without any sophisticated machinery of today._
*“…afflicting you with the worst torment,”*
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala explains this as killing of their sons and leaving behind their women.
It would have been enough to say “they killed your sons,”
_*but by talking about their women their ghairah has been stirred*.
__*PAGE 6*__
✍️...

..that when your men are few in number and there are more women then what will become of your nation, more importantly what will become of your women.
*“And in that was a great trial from your Lord,”*
meaning that although Pharaoh was tormenting them it was in fact a trial from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.
_*When people lose their path Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala puts them in a trial this is a favor on us to shake us up and give us a wake-up call.*_
A question might arise: Why were the Children of Israel being repetitively tested.
____*PAGE 7*____.
✍️...

*They were the chosen nation.*
They were assigned the task to convey the message of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and they got deluded by the charms of this world.
When the Children of Israel turned their backs on the Book of Allah they were humiliated and disgraced.
They abandoned the Book of Allah and followed their desires, so Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala abandoned them.
____*PAGE 8*____.
✍️...

*Today, Muslims are the new chosen nation.*
Allahsubhanahu wa ta’ala assigned us the responsibility of conveying His message to others, but we are chasing and competing in the worldly pleasures. We have lost track of our mission and hence, we are afflicted by one calamity after another.
_May Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala guide us and help us get back on the right track. May He allow us to study His Book with excellence, understand the message, practice it and convey it to others, ameen.
_If we desire a respectable status in this world then we must rise above living an average life and understand our real purpose of creation._
*WE MUST WAKE UP IN THE WORLD NOT IN THE GRAVE*.
__*PAGE 9*__.
✍️...

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.                                     *[2:50] Al-Baqarah-

And when We parted the river (to rescue you) and (in this way) delivered you, and (on the contrary) We drowned Pharaoh’s people before your eyes.
____*PAGE 10*____.
✍️...

When Prophet Musa ‘alayhi salaam gathered his people to escape the tyranny of Pharaoh, Pharaoh and his army pursued them.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala parted the sea, drowned the army of Pharaoh and saved Musa ‘alayhi salaam with his people.
● All of this happened before their eyes.
*it was reported that the day the Children of Israel were saved from Pharaoh was called the day of ‘Ashura.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
