They were to reside peacefully in a proper dwelling place as soon as they escaped Pharaoh’s slavery, but due their continuous disobedience their blessing was held back.
● In forty years, the previous generation (those who lived under the slavery of Pharaoh and had mental slavery) died and another generation replaced them. They then, under the leadership of *Yuwsha’ (Joshua bin Noon)* fought their enemies and conquered the holy land by the permission of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.
_*On that day, the sun was kept from setting for a little more time, until victory was achieved.*

● When the Children of Israel conquered the holy land👉they were commanded to enter its gate while prostrating. _*Ibn ‘Abbas radhiAllahu ‘anhu commented that“Sujjadan” in:  وَادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا*_means enter the gate while bowing. _*It was also said that the Sujud mentioned here means ‘submissiveness,’ for actually entering while prostrating is not possible.*_
They were commanded to be humble. They returned triumphant to their land; saved from being lost and wandering. _*They were commanded to enter the gate while saying*_
*حِطَّةٌ*
● This was a command to seek Allah’s forgiveness..
__*PAGE 3*__.

Al-Hasan and Qatadah said that it means, *“Say, ‘Relieve us from our errors.’”* Had they said this, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala would have forgiven their sins and increased the rewards of the good-doers.
● The law of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is that if we do what we have been commanded to do, then Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala will not only overlook our errors but also multiply our good deeds._ Acting on their nature, the Children of Israel again distorted the word and the command.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.                           Al-Baqara : 59

*But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying*
____*PAGE 5*____.

● When a person’s sins increase, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala snatches their blessings and descends His punishment. Because the Children of Israel changed the word and command of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala replaced the promised blessing with punishment.
● *We should, therefore, be very careful about our words and attitude.*
*We should never mock or challenge the command of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.*

May He guide us and reform what is bad in us, ameen.

While the Day of Judgment is the real day of recompense, in this world too Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala keeps showing us our mistakes.
● These are wake-up calls for those who pay heed and repent. Upon realizing one’s mistake, one should not procrastinate repentance; rather he should repent and turn to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.
_Ibn Abi Hatim narrated that Sa’d bin Malik, Usamah bin Zayd and Khuzaymah bin Thabit said that the Messenger of Allah salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said,
*“The plague is a Rijz, a punishment with which Allah punished those before you.”*.

*Let's continue on a commentary on this verse*👇.                                                     [2:60] Al-Baqarah-

And (recall) when Musa (Moses) prayed for water for his people. We directed: ‘Strike that rock with your stick.’ Then twelve springs gushed out of that (rock). Verily, each clan identified their respective drinking place. (We said:) ‘Eat and drink of the sustenance (given) by Allah, but do not seek to do mischief in the land.’
___*PAGE 8*___.

Prophet Musa ‘alayhi salaam like any other prophet of Allah was extremely kind and compassionate towards his people. His nation, however, did not respond with the same courtesy. They kept disobeying the instructions of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and demanded one thing after another.
● Though being wandering in the Sinai desert as a punishment, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala was still Merciful towards them.
● He sheltered them with the clouds and provided food from the heavens. Yet, they were not grateful.
_Allahsubhanahu wa ta’ala narrates to us some more of His favors on the Children of Israel.
___*PAGE 9*___.
✍️...

● Upon his people’s request Prophet Musa supplicated to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala for water.
Allahsubhanahu wa ta’ala instructed him to strike his staff on a stone and water will be made available. Prophet Musa followed the instructions and twelve springs burst out. There was a designated spring for each of his tribe.
*“Eat and drink from the provision of Allah…,”*
we should know how to fulfill our needs from the permissible and pure provision that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has provided for us. We should not beg, steal or be jealous of what others have.
___*PAGE 10*___.
✍️...

Rather, we should ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to bless us from His unlimited Bounty
● While we are to use the blessings, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala reminds the Children of Israel and us,
*“…and do not act corruptly, making mischief on the earth.”*
● Many a times when people are blessed with something instead of being humble and grateful they turn arrogant and condescending.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala does not like those who spread mischief on the earth. *The story that Moses told his people, he personally brought up this water(mirracle) is false*                              We make du’a to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to never make you and your loved ones corrupt or mischievous, ameen.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
