DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 13th day of Muharram 1447AH, Tuesday, 8th July 2025.
*_SECRECY of PRIVATE MATTERS (Guarding Secrets)_*. BismilLah.
Let's remind each other that this week is one of the best golden days for fasting from yesterday Monday sunnah fasting and from today's 13th to Thursday 15th of Muharram fasting. Whoever can fast must embrace this meritorious week.
In the Holy Quran. ALLAH, the Exalted, says: "And fulfil (every) covenant. Verily! The covenant will be questioned about.'' (17:34). In Hadith, Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May ALLAH be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of ALLAH (sallallahualaihiwasallam) said, "The most evil of the people to ALLAH on the Day of Resurrection will be the man who consorts with his wife and then publicises her secret. [By Imam Muslim].
Islam treats conjugal union as a sacred and secret act, both in social and moral terms. Indeed, the sanctity of conjugal rights contributes to the consolidation of moral norms and social cohesion. Yet, what passes between wife and husband on the consummation night is usually taken in a light vein in our societies. In the morning, both of them relate their sexual experience to their friends respectively. This is moral indecency which is incompatible with human dignity and civilised behaviour. This Hadith reckons it as a grave sin which must be avoided. The bed experience must be kept private by the married couple to the exclusion of a third person. Not only that, we must keep any matter of anyone as secret except good things. We can say things of good things about someone to others but must stay away from telling the bad deeds.
*_We ask ALLAH to protect our tongue from any kind of backbiting and slandering_*. Aameen.
