*Let's Change Our Mindsets About Marriage*
*Episode 36*
*THE EVIL OF INTERMIXING*
The Messenger of Allāh (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: “Never should a man be with a woman, except in the presence of a Mahram (i.e., her non-marriageable man).” A Mahram is a man whom she may never marry under any condition, either due to a blood-relationship (such as her brother, father and so on) or due to her breastfeeding from the same woman as that man, or due to marriage (like her father in-law).
This prohibition is to prevent Satan spreading immorality and arousing lusts and thus instigating fornication and adultery.
Nowadays, many Muslims use to commit sins with the name of brother-in-law or sister-in-law by staying together for a very long period of time without any body which leads to so many evil acts. Also, some adult Muslim men and women in our tertiary institutions who are not lawfully married will rent a room in the school and live together for years in the name of school couple without marriage which is completely prohibited in islam or during National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Teaching Practice, Skills Acquisition Training, etc. you will see people living together like husbands and wives. Remember that wherever you are, whatsoever you doing, Almighty Allāh is watching you. We are from Allāh and to Him we shall return. Think and fear the D-Day you will stand before Allāh to give account of all your deeds. And you don't know whether you may die while committing evil acts. Therefore, repent now and go back to Almighty Allāh (Sub-haanahu wata'aala).
One may not shun the Islaamic commandments for the sake of customs, traditions, or his desires, because it is only Islam that commands people to that which is best, and to the noblest of morals. Gratitude to Allāh is a secret code that unlocks amazing favours. May we be among those who always say Alhamdulillah in every situation. May Allāh be our comfort on every worrying moment, our strength when we are weak & Nuur (light) in our dark moments, Aameen.
May Allāh forgive us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.
*{To be continued In-sha-Allāh (If Allāh Wills)...}*
*"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers."* (Qur-ān 51:55)
