*SENDING BACK ABU JANDAL*

While the peace treaty was being written down, Abu Jandal Ibn Suhail came in fetters escaping from lower Mecca. He threw himself amidst Muslims. Suhail said: "This is the first man I oblige you to return." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: "We haven't put the agreement into effect yet." He said threateningly: "So I am not required to implement any of the terms of this agreement." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: "Leave him to me." He said: "No, I won't." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: "But you should do." He said: "I will never do that." Then he (Suhail) struck him in his face, collared and dragged him to send him back to Mecca. Abu Jandal shouted at the top of his voice: "O Muslims, will you want me to return to the polytheists to change my religion?" The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: "Abu Jandal, be patient and expect Allāh's reward. Surely, Allāh will drive away the sufferings of you and those of the weak Muslims. We have reached a peace agreement with Quraish and pledged each other to violate it. So we shouldn't betray them."

'Umar harried up and walked beside Abu Jandal saying: "Be patient, Abu Jandal. They are worthless polytheists." He kept the sword near him. About this 'Umar said: "I hoped that he would take the sword and beheaded his father. Bug he didn't do that."

SLAUGHTERING, SHAVING HEADS AND GETTING OUT OF THE IHRĀM FOR 'UMRAH

When the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) finished making the peace treaty, he ordered his Companions to slaughter their sacrificial animals. But they seemed slow at carrying the Prophet's order at first. He complained to Umm Salamah about people's reluctance to butcher their sacrificial animals. She said: "O Allāh's Messenger! Go out and don't speak to anyone until you have slaughtered your camel and called your haircutter to shave your hair." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) butchered a camel and had his hair cut. When people saw him doing so, they butchered their sacrificial animals and shaved their hair too. Every seven people took part in one camel or one cow. The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) pleaded Allāh's remission for those who shaved their hair three times and one time for those who had their hair cut. In this journey Allāh prescribed the penance of not shaving one's hair, that is, fasting three days, giving alms or offering a sacrifice.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
