*THE ROOTS OF MARITAL PROBLEMS*

Marriage is supposed to be a form of ibadah as prescribed by Allāh (Sub-haanahu wata'aala) to mankind. unfortunately, some people do not understand the value and the blessings in it. Today I want to address some of the root causes of marriage problems in our societies. They are as follows:

🔦 Forced Marriage - Most forced marriages fail, because they were not build based on love and understanding. When couples refuse to get along, things start to go sore. Therefore, avoid forced marriages, it is haram (unlawful) to force someone into a marriage they don't like. This is one of the trends during the Jāhiliyyah (ignorance) period. The messenger of Allāh prohibits it.

🔦 Arranged marriage - Not as bad as the first, yet, it is supposed to be good, but when couples can't get along due to high expectations they turn against each other. Some arranged marriages work, but many fail, though some couples don't show its failure in order to please parents, but, at long last, it suffocates them. So let them get along and decide whether they want to live together. Continuity is very important in marriage

🔦 Parents involvement - When parents always get involved in problems related to their children, rather than making things right, they end up destroying the marriage. As a parent, respect yourself and stay within your limits.

🔦 Sin against Allah - When couples use their marriage to achieve personal gains or harm one another intentionally, surely Allah will remove his blessings. Therefore, marriage is an Ibadah ( an act of worship), not a business model.

🔦 Bad company - Bad friends with bad habits can destroy your marriage. Most of them are inexperienced, don't always take their advice. So beware of this.

🔦 Dishonesty - When dishonesty gets into your marriage life, then it is a matter of time before it destroys you.

🔦 Selfishness - When everything is about you and you alone, she has no right, or he has no right, then you will land in trouble. Your partner should always benefit equally from the union.

🔦 Suspicion - One of the most dangerous and most poisonous elements in a marriage. The very day you lose trust for one another, that's the end. It is a matter of time before you separate

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
