*QURAISH'S ATTEMPT TO PREVENT MUSLIMS FROM THE SACRED HOUSE*

When Quraish heard of the Prophet's march, it convened a consultative meeting and decided to prevent the Muslims from entering the Sacred House where possible. After the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) shunned fighting against the Hubshis, a man of Banu Ka'ab told him that Quraish would camp at Dhu Tuwa and two hundred cavalrymen under the command of Khālid Ibn Al-Walid were stationed at Kurā'a Al-Ghamim, beside the main route leading to Mecca. Khālid tried to prevent Muslims from reaching the Sacred House, so he led his cavalrymen towards Muslims. When he saw them kneeling down and prostrating themselves at the noon prayer, he said: "They were heedless. If we had attacked them, we would have killed a lot of them." When the time of the afternoon prayer came and Muslims offered it, he tried to assault Muslims all at once. But Allāh legalised the prayer of fear through which Khālid missed such a chance.

CHANGING THE WAY AND AVOIDING THE BLOODY CONFRONTATION

The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) walked along a rugged route crossing some gulches and led Muslims to the right, in the middle of Al-Khams through a route that leaded him to the defile of Al-Murār, the descent place of Al-Hudaibiyya southern Mecca. He left the main road leading to the Sacred House, passed through At-Tan'im and turned left. When Khālid found out that the Muslim army followed a different road, he hastened to warn Quraish.

The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) proceeded on and when they reached the defile of Murār, his riding camel knelt down. The Companions spurred on it but it balked. They said: "Al-Qaswaa has become intractable." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: "Al-Qaswaa has never balked. Nor is this characteristics of it. It was impeded by the one who hindered the elephant." Then he said: "By the One Who controls my soul, if they (the people of Mecca) should demand something by which they could venerate the sanctities of Allāh, I would comply with it." Then he prodded it and it rose up again and walked. He swerved from the road of Mecca and halted at the farther end of Al-Hudaibiyya, at a pool of little water. Muslims drank up all the water that was in it but they complained to the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) that they were still thirsty. Thereupon the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) took out an arrow of his quiver and ordered them to fix it in the pool. Thereupon water flowed out till they quenched they thirst.

BUDAIL MEDIATES BETWEEN THE PROPHET (Blessings and Peace be upon him) AND QURAISH

While the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) and Muslims were halting at this place, Budail Ibn Warqaa Al-khuzā'i (an ally of the Prophet) came to him along with a group of Khuzā'a. He said: "I watched Quraish camping at the watering places of Al-Hudaibiyya keeping their young camels. They intend to fight and prevent you from entering the Sacred House." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) replied: "I didn't set out to combat anyone. But we came to perform 'Umrah. Quraish were strained and harmed by wars. I can make a peace treaty with them if they wish and let us enter the Sacred House. If they should embrace what others embrace (accept Islam), they could do so. If not, they would be safe as well. But if they desire fight, I would fight them to death or victory." Budail said: "I have been commissioned by Muhammad. He said to some words I can tell you if you wish." Some of them said: "We don't want you to tell us anything about him." Wise Quraishites said: "Tell us what you heard." He told them the Prophet's stance. Quraish sent Mikraz Ibn Hafs to the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him). As soon as the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) saw him, he said: "This man is treacherous." When he came to him and talked, the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said the same words as he said to Budail and his deputation. Then Mikraz returned to Quraish and informed them.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
