TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR IMAN (FAITH)

*TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR IMAN (FAITH)*

1. Knowledge - To have knowledge of the Quran and the sunnah. When you embrace the Quran it increases your Iman every day. Your knowledge of it makes you live according to the shariah.

2. Learn the beautiful names of Allah - Knowing Allah by his different names make us reflect and become even more conscious of His existence, power, might, and mercy.

3. Learning about the Seera (History of the Prophet PBUH) - In the life of the Messenger, we see the greatest embodiment of iman in him. We learn through his actions and inactions.

4. Reflecting on the Natural signs (Tadabbur) - Allah says we should reflect upon the signs around us that we take for granted the rain, the thumber, the atmosphere, the animals in the sea, the invisible creatures, the cycle of life etc, So Allah is asking us to think and reflect.

5. Doing good deeds - Every good deed we do is like watering the tree of iman. When we engage in salah, zikr, sadaqa, volunteering, our iman increases. Without good deeds the tree of Iman will wither away and die. So doing good deeds is like adding water and fertilizer to it.

6. Going for Hajj (pilgrimage) - One of the best acts of worship. Doing a Hajj once washes away your sins as if you were born today. And it makes you reflect and appreciate life. Seeing millions of people standing for the sake of Allah softens the hearts. The Messenger says "An accepted Hajj has nothing less than the reward of Jannah"

7. Fighting the number 1 enemy of Iman that is Shaitan. If you are able to fight shaitan then you have solved most of your problems. Insha Allah.

*Why Iman Decreases*

1. Ignorance - The is opposite of knowledge. When you dont know it leads you to doubt. And shaitan will come to you with many suggestions to confuse you even more. You start to doubt Allah and Islam. You start to question why must I do this or that. And the cure to ignorance is knowledge.

2. Heedlessness - To simply not care. Meaning, you just live a lifestyle where your heart is detached from Allah and goodness. This idea makes you self-centred, you only care about yourself. And the cure is ibadah, zikr, Quran and increase our taqwa.

3.  Every day Sins - The sins we do are like weeds that grow near the Tree of our Iman. Like weeds eat the plant, so do bad deeds. In other words, every good deed makes the tree grows,  and every sin weakens and kills the tree of iman. Literary every day our tree grows and shrinks according to our deeds, good or bad.

4. Love of this world -  When the world tempts you a lot, then you tend to lose your iman and focus on ibadah. Your job, your family, your business, your fiancee, all these can become fitnah for you or otherwise. And when you make dunya your final goal, things come crumbling. When you balance your life, everything is good. And the cure of this is to think of death and the people who came before us.

5. Evil companionship (Friends) - These are people that are dragging us back rather than pushing us up. People that guide you to wrong and not good. Bad friends influence is the easiest way to make one lose their iman. Bcos friends are so tempting. The moment you hang around with people that are doing haram you will surely follow their suit. The Messenger says "A person follows the religion of his friends". And in Qiyamah you will be resurrected with your friends, either good ones or bad ones.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
