The importance of reciting surah kahf.

The importance of reciting surah kahf. Alhamdulillah, reciting surah kahf is a refuge against the dajjal. As reported in hadith, Anyone who recites the first ten verses of surah kahf will be protected from the calamity of the dajjal. Sahih. As reported, Abu Darda' reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from theDajjal. Sahih Muslim 809..

Why do we Muslims fast in the month of Ramadhan.

Why do we Muslims fast in the month of Ramadhan. Alhamdulillah, The month of Ramadhan is a great month in Islam and the month that Allah has raised among all the months in the Islamic calendar. The reason we fast in Ramadhan is because it was the month Al Quran. And we fast on this month to show gratefulness to Allah. English - Sahih International The month of Ramaḍān [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’ān, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the crescent of] the month,[1] let him fast it; and whoever is il...

Surah kahf and the story of the people of the cave.

Surah kahf and the story of the people of the cave. Alhamdulillah, one of the beautiful surah of Quran in it containing great stories for reflection is surah kahf. In the surah is about the seven youth who tried to seek refuge in a cave against their ruler. This king called each of them and gave them time to think and change from their religion which is worshipping Allah to idolatry. So these seven youth met together and Allah united their hearts. They decided to seek refuge in a cave and inside the cave, Allah s.w.t made them to sleep for many years and with their dog they entered the cave to guard them. So after many hundred years which some says 309years, Allah resurrected them. So they started to ask eachother of their duration in the cave. One said maybe one day and the one who has knowledge even after them said half a day. So they sent one of them to buy food in the market but to hide and not disclose his identity. As he came from the cave, he saw a new world and culture and...

Always be a Muslim always

The story to reflect. Always be a Muslim always. Alhamdulillah, there lived a girl who was with her friends. This girl was always in hijab and will be seen reciting her Quran and at seclusion making dhikr. The friends were Muslims but do not have time on their Deen. They spend time making make ups and decorating themselves One-day, they entered the college both of them and this Muslim girl who always practice her Deen was respected by the teachers and staffs. Always when they entered the office, the girl was given a chair to sit and respected while they stood. So they were confused and amazed. So one-day, a teacher entered the class and they said why do you honour and respect this our friend, she is not rich and we are rich or anyone among us? The teacher said we respect her because of her lifestyle and behavior in the campus and everyone talks of her in good manners. So we feel shy to make her lower in the class. Such was her Deen which earn her such statues. Let's start to imple...

Few Hours to Go!

*Few Hours to Go!* -------------------------------- بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم Alhamdulillah! We are gradually smelling the month of Ramadan for this year in a few hours’ time - In Shaa Allah. *Intention:* Islam attaches great importance to intentions since they determine the purpose of man and his direction in various matters. The Prophet [pbuh] said: "Actions are [judged] according to intentions and each person will be rewarded according to intention.." 📚 Authentic On this, the Prophet (pbuh) said, *"He who does not make the intention for fasting before dawn, there is no fast for him"* 📚 Authentic *How do we make the intention?* The issue of the intention is very easy in Islam; simply resolving and planning to fast after finding out that the next day is the beginning of the month of Ramadan is the intention, and it is not necessary to utter it out loud or saying "Nawaitu bla bla" as many people do. Yes. This kind of Nawaitu bla bla bla bla is not recorde...

SOME CONDITIONS TO FULFIL FOR ALLAH AZZAWAJAL TO ANSWER OUR DUA

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 28th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Thursday,  27th February 2025. *_SOME CONDITIONS TO FULFIL FOR ALLAH AZZAWAJAL TO ANSWER OUR DUA_*. BismilLah.  Sin is one of the main reasons why DUAs are not answered, so we must repent and seek forgiveness regularly. The reason why dua’ is not answered may be because of an act you did which ALLAH Azzawajal has forbidden, such as having haraam wealth, whether it be food or drink or clothing or accommodation or transportation, taking Haraam jobs, the stain of sin is still in the heart, or following bid’ah (innovation) in religion etc. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAAH (peace and blessings of ALLAAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH Azzawajal commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods...

SOME CONDITIONS TO FULFIL FOR ALLAH AZZAWAJAL TO ANSWER OUR DUA

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 27th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Wednesday,  26th February 2025. *_SOME CONDITIONS TO FULFIL FOR ALLAH AZZAWAJAL TO ANSWER OUR DUA_*. BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH Ramadhan may start on Friday subject to moon sighting on Thursday. Ramadhan is a blessed month, but our dua may be wasted if we do not change our ways of life.  Our dua may not even reach ALLAH Azzawajal, which most of us may know, but as ALLAH says, reminders only benefit believers as such, we must remind each other regularly because it's a serious issue.  Let's note that Dua or seeking favour or mercy from the most HIGH, ALLAH is like a weapon, and a weapon is only as good as the person who is using it; it is not merely the matter of how sharp it is. If the weapon is perfect and free of faults, and the arm of the person using it is strong, and there is nothing stopping him, he has experience in using the weapon then he can lay waste the enemy or his target without fail...

The question can one enter Jannah without tawheed?

The question can one enter Jannah without tawheed? Alhamdulillah, Tawheed is important which means Oneness of Allah. It is the core teachings of Islam and without it, there is no Islam. Tawheed came from Ahad or Waheed meaning Oneness. All prophets core message was to worship Allah alone. And without tawheed, one cannot enter paradise. Allah says when Jesus said to his people, Whosoever associate partners with Allah, verily Allah has forbidden paradise for him. Surah 5;73. Paradise is opened by the key of tawheed and hellfire is with shirk. No matter the sins, zina, theft as far as we have not commit shirk, Allah can chose to forgive us or punish us for sometime and enter us into Jannah after it. Allah says, Verily Allah does not forgive the sin of associating partners with him but he forgiveth any other than that. Surah 4;48. May Allah safeguard us from hellfire. Aamiin

Tolerance and Forgiveness as the Ramadhan approaches.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 26th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Tuesday,  25th February 2025. Tolerance and Forgiveness as the Ramadhan approaches. Bismillah.  Life is short. Let us not waste our energy on being angry at those who  wrong us and seeking revenge against them. If we can progressively minimize our spite every day, then soon we will bear no hatred or malice in our hearts, in shaa ALLAH (God willing). This is how we can end conflict amongst ourselves, since it is a day to day issue we face. After all, sometimes our own actions can provoke another person’s wrongdoings, and we may not be aware of how we contributed to the conflict. We tend to judge the faults of others while being blind to our own. We forget how we have wronged others, and we only remember how others have wronged us. In the same manner, we forget the good things that others have done for us, and remember only the good that we have done for them. It is an innate human error. But let u...

The story of patience

The story of patience. Alhamdulillah, let's reflect on this story and learn to be patient always. There lived a young man who was going to catch a fish. On his way, he went to the riverside but to his amazement, he could not catch even one fish.. He came back nothing and so angry. So the next day he went but caught nothing. He said look at my friends each day catching ten to twenty fishes  The third day he said I have to be patient and again to go and catch the fish. He went on the third day and to his amazement, he caught thrice the number of his friends and was so happy. He said indeed this is the reward of patience. It is a lesson for us to reflect. Let's know that what we are passing through or trying to seek but is delaying, Allah is preparing what is best for us. It is a matter of time. May Allah grants us the goodness of this world and the hereafter. Aamiin Alhamdulillah, let's reflect on this story and learn to be patient always. There lived a young man who was goin...

The importance of taqwa

The importance of taqwa Alhamdulillah, At taqwa means precaution or care. It came from taqaah meaning beware  Taqwa is the basis of everything and a person cannot earn taqwa without Eeman. The more the Eeman, the more the taqwa. The prophet pbuh said, Allah does not look at your bodies and your wealth but he looks at your actions and intentions. Sahih. And taqwa is in the breast and if it is exposed and come out, it comes out as actions confirms it. As reported, Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Don't nurse grudge and don't bid him out for raising the price and don't nurse aversion or enmity and don't enter into a transaction when the others have entered into that transaction and be as fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. It is a serious evil fora Muslim that he ...

DOES taken a FLU-SHOT invalidate our fasting

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 24th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday,  23rd February 2025. *_DOES taken a FLU-SHOT invalidate our fasting_* Bismillah.  As Ramadhan approaches, its important to start asking and learning more about this blessed month. Do not do anything without having knowledge of it. Back to our topic.  According to the most preferred position of scholars in Islam, receiving Flu-shot does not invalidate the fast since it does not fall under the category of consumption of food or drink, which we are ordered to refrain from while fasting. It is necessary to point out that the above rule should not be extended to receiving injections of nutrients or glucose; such injections will surely break the fast. If, therefore, a person must receive such injections in the daytime during the month of Ramadhan because of health reasons, he or she is allowed to skip and make up for it after Ramadhan. But normal injection, which does not contain any nourishment or...

Fear Allah and he will take care of our affairs.

Story to reflect. Fear Allah and he will take care of our affairs. Alhamdulillah,.let's reflect and remind ourselves of this beautiful story of taqwa. There once lived a young girl who lived with her parents. The mother used to tell her to get everything in life, the secret is to fear Allah. The girl used to put in her mind this word and conscious always. As she grew mature, one day she was walking and a guy called her as she did not attend to him. He looked at such a lady The next day, he met her on the way and said he sees she is nice and presentable. The guy kept saying this as she looked down, she didn't mind him. So he came closer and she said fear Allah and you will get what you want. These word touched his heart and he drew back. Three years later, the lady had a man to marry and her mother chose the man for her. She never saw him but since her mum looked and saw his character and how people praised him in the city, she immediately accepted. On the day to present the man...

Visiting the Sick* [[--Final Episode-- ]

*Visiting the Sick* [[--Final Episode-- ]] ------------------------------ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم We should strive to revive the sunnah of visiting the sick, so that, we will not be amongst those who will be queried by Allah (swt) on the day of judgement for ignoring the sick amongst us. Evidence: *‘O son of Adam, I was sick and you did not visit Me.’* He will say, ‘O my Lord, how could I visit You, when you are the Lord of the Worlds.’ Allah will say, ‘Did you not know that My servant so-and-so was sick and you did not visit him? Did you not know that if you had visited him, you would have found Me there?’ 📚(Saheeh Muslim) Now, Continuation of episode 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 - as promised. *Time for visiting:* There is nothing in the Sunnah that suggests that there is a specific time for visiting the sick.. Yes.. Ibn al-Qayyim said: "The Prophet (PBUH) did not specify any particular day or time for visiting the sick, rather he prescribed that for his ummah by night and by day, at all...

Islam is the only true way to eternal life

Islam is the only true way to eternal life. Alhamdulillah, Allah says, Verily, The religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. Allah says, And anyone who seeks any religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him and in the hereafter will be among the losers. Surah 5;85. Islam is the religion of all the prophets and messengers. And there is none among the messengers but he was a Muslim and worship one ilah. Any religion one believes and worship other than Islam is misguidance. The Christians are pagans following the doctrine of Paul. The Jews are following something else in the name of Judaism. And all the religions were named after something except Islam which means peace and submission to the one ilah (Allah).

What are the conditions for one to fast

What are the conditions for one to fast  Alhamdulillah, the conditions for fasting are, 1.one should be a Muslim. 2. Reaches maturity and in Islam, puberty starts from seven years. 3. One should be sound minded and not out of his senses. 4. One should be healthy and strong to fast 5. One should not be a traveller and a residence  Although a traveller is not obliged not to fast,it is a mercy from Allah to him because travelling is a found of punishment. These are conditions. And let's look at one hadith on fasting, Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fastingshould avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of A...

The welcoming of Ramadhan and how prepared are you.

The welcoming of Ramadhan and how prepared are you. Let's reflect and look at what await as within 7-8days, which is the arrival of Ramadhan. Ramadhan is a school to learn taqwa. Allah says, O ye who believe! Fasting has been prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before thee so as you may learn taqwa(God consciousness). Surah Baqarah 2;183. Taqwa is everything and we need to prepare well for this ramadhan as it might be our last ramadhan we are witnessing. Many people have yearn to see this blessed month of Ramadhan we are entering, but Allah has not granted them such opportunity. If we are among those chosen to witness that month, we should be grateful and do alot of works and deeds to make Allah grant us Jannah  There are three people whom jibril came to the prophet and make supplication upon them for the prophet to say Aamiin. One of such supplication was, May Allah enter the nose of anyone whom Ramadhan comes but did not do any good deeds that will enter him to ...

SOME RULES PERTAINING TO FASTING IN RAMADHAN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 23rd day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Saturday,  22nd February 2025. *_SOME RULES PERTAINING TO FASTING IN RAMADHAN_*. BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH, fasting will be starting within few days time. May ALLAH Azzawajal grant us the opportunity to be part and aid us through. Aameen.  Fasting in the month of Ramadhan is one of the 'pillars' of the Islamic faith. It's obligatory (wajib), and one denying it goes out of the fold of Islam because it is obvious like salaat. It was declared an obligatory duty (fard ) in the second year of the Hijrah upon each and every mukallaf (one capable of carrying out religious duties, i.e. a sane adult) and breaking it (iftar) is not permissible except for any of the following reasons: 1. Hayd and nifas: Fasting is not valid for women during menstruation and puerperal bleeding (after childbirth). 2. Illness: Fasting is not valid if it would cause illness or aggravate it, or intensify the pain, or delay recovery...

*Visiting the Sick* [[--- Part Four --- ]] ------------------------------ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:👉“Every Muslim has five rights over another Muslim: ️to return the greetings, *to visit the sick,* ....” 📚[Bukhari and Muslim]. Now, Continuation of episode 1, 2 & 3 - Benefit & rewards of visiting the sick: *Benefit Number 3:* You Have Built Yourself A Home In Jannah (Paradise). Evidence: Narrated by Abu Hurairah (r.a.) that the Messenger of Allaah (PBUH) said, 'Whoever visits a sick person (for the pleasure of Allah), a Caller from the skies announces: You are indeed blessed and your walking is blessed and you have (by this noble act) built yourself a home in Jannah (Paradise).' 📚[Sunan Ibn Maajah] Therefore, We should try to locate sick person or persons around us, pay them a visit.. Let us do this at least 2 to 3 times weekly.. And whether they are related to us or not related to us, whether they are those who struggle day & nig...

Friday and it's dignity.

Friday and it's dignity. Alhamdulillah, Friday is a great day. Allah says, O ye who believe! When the call of prayer for the Friday is proclaimed, run for the remembrance of Allah and leave thy business for that is better for thee but if ye knew. Surah jumu'ah  Friday is a great day. The day Adam was created, the day he entered Jannah and the day he was removed from paradise, it was the day he died and the hour shall not occur except on this day. Sunnan acts on Friday. Bathing Ghusl Chewing siwak. Sending alot of salawat to Rasulullah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam. Praying a lot of nawafil. Attending to jumu'ah early. Listening to khutbah Praying four nawafil after jumu'ah. Making a lot of Dua before sun falls  Reciting surah kahf.
