*Visiting the Sick*
[[--- Part Three --- ]]------------------------------
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In hadeeth Qudsi, it was narrated that, On the day of judgement, Allah (swt) will say: *‘O son of Adam, I was sick and you did not visit Me.’* He will say, ‘O my Lord, how could I visit You, when you are the Lord of the Worlds.’ Allah will say, ‘Did you not know that My servant so-and-so was sick and you did not visit him? Did you not know that if you had visited him, you would have found Me there?’ 📚(Saheeh Muslim)
Servants of Allah!
Islam invites us to the good deeds and warns us to stay away from bad ones. One of the good deeds is to visit the sick and depressed. When people visit each other in their bad times or during their hardships then the bond of brotherhood and friendship are build up. Visiting the sick is the clearest signs of mutual love, mercy, and empathy on Muslim brother. More than that, visiting the sick is a major responsibility that every single Muslim is obligated to fulfill.
But,
Today, unfortunately, some Muslims do not even perform the minimum (like putting call through), using excuses like “I’m too busy,” or “I’ll ask about them on the phone,” or “I don’t like going to hospitals,” or “It’s a long drive!” etc.... Habbah!!!
