*Rewarding Jealousy*

In this year Ramadan, only Allah (swt) knows the number of Muslims who will break Ramadan fast on empty belly. Therefore, despite our financial challenges, we are advised to compete in all acts of kindness, and to be more generous, especially helping the needy.
Muslim Faithful!
Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (pbuh), ascended the pulpit and he said, “Amin, amin, amin 3X.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said amin, amin, amin 3X.” The Prophet said, *“Verily, Angel Jibreel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he or she did not do acts of worship to gain Allah's forgiveness, then, he or she will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him or her far away, so say amin. I said amin....”* 📚Source: Sahih Ibn Hibban 915
Now,
Increasing efforts and competing in giving charity is one of the recommended acts of worship we should strive harder to do in this blessed month to gain Allah's forgiveness. Yes. We should compete seriously in this aspect.
This reminds me,
In the time of Abu Bakr (ra), in a small area of Madeenah, there lived a blind elderly woman who had no one to help her and attend to her needs.
When Umar ibn Al Khattab (ra) came to know of this, he became very uneasy and decided to take it upon himself to attend to her need.
The next day Umar (ra) went in secrecy, but when he reached, he was surprised to find someone had already been and had l already attended to the needs of this blind woman.
When this happened for a few days, Umar (ra) became very frustrated at someone surpassing him in this golden opportunity to serve a person in need.
He was curious too and so hid in one corner the next day. Umar (ra) did not have to wait long as soon a man entered. When Umar (ra) looked closely, it was non-other than the Caliph of the time, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (ra).
That also remind me,
👉🏻Imam Ahmad ibn Miskeen told the story of Abu Nasr, a fisherman who was so poor that he could not even feed his family. One day when the fisherman passed by the Imam, the Imam asked him to follow him to the sea. There, the Imam pronounced Bismillah, and ordered Abu Nasr to cast his fishing net. Out came a big fish. Abu Nasr sold the fish and bought some food for his wife and child. While heading home, Abu Nasr passed by a woman and her little child crying from hunger; he could not help but hand them the food he had bought for his family. Once again, he was going home to his hungry boy, grieved and penniless. Before reaching house, Abu Nasr heard a man calling his name; that stranger handed him a small parcel and said, “Your father had lent me some money years ago before he passed away. I did not have the means to return it. As soon as I could afford it, I came looking all over for you until I finally found you. Here you are, this your money, my son.” The poor fisherman opened the parcel, and to his surprise, it contained 30,000 Dirham (pieces of silver).
