*Alternative i‘tikāf*
[[---First Outing---]]-----------------------------
*Digest this if you can't perform i‘tikāf:*
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Allah created times, and He chose and elevated specific times, certain months, days, or hours in status and virtues. Undoubtedly, the month of Ramadan is one of these blessed times and the best month of the year. From among Ramadan, Allah further raised the status of a night over that of one thousand months, and that is laylat’l-qadr.
Servants of Allah!
It is believed that on one day during the last 10 days of Ramadan, the Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the Angel Jibrael. Many Muslims believe this to fall on the last 10 night of Ramadan (21:or 23 or 25 or 27 or 29). This night is known as Laylatul Qadr.
Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power) is described in the Qur’an as, {better than a thousand months}. (Al-Qadr: 3) Any action done on this night is better than acting for one thousand months which do not contain the night of Qadr.
Now,
Majority of Muslims love to perform i‘tikāf (total seclusion inside the masjid) in the last 10 DAYS of Ramadan BUT certain genuine reasons could not allowed them.. There's nothing to worry about because there's alternative to harvesting all the goodies shared to you. Yes. Here are some tips of things you can do on the last 10 night of Ramadan - In shaa Allah:
*Tip No 1:* Best Du'a to said (countless times)
Best Du'a to said (countless times) everyday, anytime in the last 10 DAYS of Ramadan (with or without ablution), while in menses, while walking, driving, sitting, cleaning the house, inside or outside swalah is the Du'a Nana Aisha (r.a.) thought us.
It was reported that Aisha said: “I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what do you think, if I witness Lailatul Qadr, what should I say?’ He said: ‘Say,
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عُفُوٌّ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
"O Allah, You are Forgiving and Generous, and you love forgiveness, so forgive me.'” 📚[Narrated by Imam Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah. Its isnad is Sahih]
*Tip No 2:* Make Long, Sincere and Deep Du`a’s
One of the best times to do this is during the last part of the night. 📚 Evidence:
Abu Hurairah, (r.a.) quoted the Prophet as saying: “When the last one-third of the night remains, our Lord, the Glorious One descends towards the lower heaven and proclaims: *Is there anyone supplicating to Me, so that I grant his supplication? Is there anyone begging of Me for anything so that and I grant him his wish? Is there anyone who seeks My forgiveness, so that I forgive him?”* 📚 (Narrated by Bukhari, Muslim).
This means for instance, waking up Tahajjud in the last 10 night of Ramadan is a golden opportunity to make Du'a OR waking up one hour before Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) time to invoke Allah for anything and everything is something recommendable.
