[[---- Part Three ----]]------------------------------
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Muslims across the world 🌎 are currently marking Ramadan, a month set aside for strengthening faith through fasting, prayer, reflection and acts of community development. Many people are aware that Ramadan means Muslims do not eat or drink from dawn to dusk, but there are also rules around other activities you should avoid. Yes. And one of those is killing time by watching haram programs on TVs, spending time jumping from one internet site to another or movies on streaming apps like Facebook, TikTok and the likes.
Infact,
The month of Ramadan holds much value for the followers of this religion, so much that they believe that this fasting absolves them of their past sins, as stated in the hadeeth of Abdur Rahman ibn Awf who reported that: *The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan with faith and expecting reward from Allah (swt) will be rid of sins like the day he or she was born.”* 📚Source: Musnad Ahmad 1688
Therefore,
Conscious efforts should be made to avoid Time Killing. Why because, the importance of time in Islam cannot be underestimated as Suratul Asr acknowledge:
وَٱلْعَصْرِ ..........
Allah (swt) swear by time. Indeed, mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. 📚[Qur’an 103:1-3]
Now,
With regard to what we do and what we refrain from doing in the month of Ramadan and beyond, as Muslims, we should strive to refrain from spending time on watching TVs especially indecent movies which show things such as pictures of naked and semi-naked people and evil words; the same applies to things that appear on TV which go against the laws of Allah, such as images, songs, music 🎵 composed with musical instruments and misleading advertisements.
My people!
Ramadan is not a feasting season but a fasting one. Many of us focus more on food than the objective of becoming pious. So you have to be intentional by making this your ‘Best Ramadan Ever’. How can you do this? By setting simple goals and taking steps to achieve them. Purify your heart and focus on the quality of your deeds, not the quantity.
👉Sufyan AthThawri was heard saying before he passed away:👉 “If you depart to the hereafter without preparing the luggage of piety, on that Day you meet those who have. And you will regret not having been like them”.
