The story of Musa A.S.
Alhamdulillah, one of the beautiful story to reflect is the story of musa A.S.
Musa a.s was born in Egypt at the time of a tyrant ruler called firawn(Pharaoh)
Pharaoh conquered all the tribes of that time and became their king. At that time, firawn had hatred from the Israelites and saw them as slaves.
The Israelites at that time was chosen people of Allah and Allah has favoured them among all peoples.
So one-day, firawn had a dream a child born among the Israelites will come to end his reign.
So firawn after consulting his dream interpreters for the meaning declared a law that anyone male child born among the Israelites should be killed.
So as time goes on,the Israelites were decreasing and left with old peoples. And firawn saw if he continues, there will be no people to work for them.
So he pass a law, if this year a child is born among the Israelites should not be killed but the following year should be killed.
So that year of no killing, the brother of Musa A.S was born called Haarun(Aaron).
The following year of killing, Musa a.s was born and his mother felt scared for him.
So she tied a rope to the basket and put the child into the river nile.
So when she saw the men of firawn were not there, she will nursed the child but there are around, she will put him in the basket.
One-day, the rope tied was removed and the basket was taken by river nile to the house of firawn..
Then his wife, Asiya was about to bath with her two maidens and saw a basket coming closer to her.
She sent the maiden to take the basket for her as she opened it, she saw a child and immediately had affectionate for the child.
So she took the child to firawn to adopt him as a child.
Firawn denied but later accepted as he saw Musa was not wise.
Some people said a fire and date was brought for the child to take but took fire and so firawn saw he was not the one.
So there was announcement on who to cater for Musa a.s.
All the women in Egypt were brought but he did not feed on their breast so his sister, Miriam heard of this and went to her mother and told her.
The mother of Musa a.s went to the house of firawn and immediately the child took her breast feeding and so she was given her child back to cater for him.
A lesson here is that what Allah decreed, none can change it except it will happen even if it takes many years or people try to block such from happening, they cannot never succeed.
May Allah grants us tawakkal. Aamin
