We are believed to be able to see Allah like we see the full moon in Jannah. There's is however differences in opinion as to if Prophet fully saw Allah when he ascend to the Heavens. The verse continued by ordering us to celebrate our Lord after all prayers. We are also encouraged to offer prayers in some hours of the night and after prayers as well. This will help accumulate reward to ease our entrance to Jannah. But we all know prayers (nawaafils) are prohibited after asr and fajr. *May Allah make those who will see Allah on the day of Hereafter....AMIN*.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.

Verily, Safa and Marwa are indeed amongst the signs of Allah. So, he who performs Hajj (Pilgrimage) or ‘Umra (Visitation) to the House of Allah, there is no sin on him if he ambulates (i.e., walks up and down between) the two. And if a person does a pious act voluntarily, then Allah is certainly Most Appreciative, Well Aware.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 22:

Narrated Urwa:

I said to 'Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, and I was at that time a young boy, "How do you interpret the Statement of Allah:

"Verily, Safa and Marwa (i.e. two mountains at Mecca) are among the Symbols of Allah."

So it is not harmful of those who perform the Hajj to the House of Allah) or perform the Umra, to ambulate (Tawaf) between them. In my opinion it is not sinful for one not to ambulate (Tawaf) between them." 'Aisha said, "Your interpretation is wrong for as you say, the Verse should have been: "So it is not harmful of those who perform the Hajj or Umra to the House, not to ambulate (Tawaf) between them.' This Verse was revealed in connection with the Ansar who (during the Pre-Islamic Period) used to visit Manat (i.e. an idol) after assuming their Ihram, and it was situated near Qudaid (i.e. a place at Mecca), and they used to regard it sinful to ambulate between Safa and Marwa after embracing Islam. When Islam came, they asked Allah's Apostle about it, whereupon Allah revealed:--

"Verily, Safa and Marwa (i.e. two mountains at Mecca) are among the Symbols of Allah. So it is not harmful of those who perform the Hajj of the House (of Allah) or perform the Umra, to ambulate (Tawaf) between them." (2.158)

We all know the story of Little Prophet Ismail and Hajar when Prophet Ibrahim left them in the desert. They started feeling thirst for which she started loitering around looking for anything to eat. She then ambulate between safa and marwa before she was provided zamzam. During the Jaahiliyah, the Ansaris use to visit manat(an idol) after assuming their ihram, and it was situated near Qubaid. They found it unusual as Islam allowed them to do that during Hajj even after accepting Islam. They asked Prophet about it for which this verse was revealed, removing that thought from them.

*Let's continue on how this verse was revealed*👇.                                       *[2:198] Al-Baqarah-

And it is no sin on you if you (also) seek your Lord’s bounty (through trade during the Hajj days). Then when you return from ‘Arafat, celebrate the remembrance of Allah near Mash‘ar al-Haram (Muzdalifa). And remember Him as He has guided you. And you were certainly wandering disorientated before.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 44:

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

'Ukaz, Mijanna and Dhul-Majaz were markets during the Pre-islamic Period. They (i.e. Muslims) considered it a sin to trade there during the Hajj time (i.e. season), so this Verse was revealed:-- "There is no harm for you if you seek of the Bounty of your Lord during the Hajj season." (2.198)

Seeking bounties after prayer times is encouraged in Islam. Abdullah bun Umar was a hard worker but always does that after worshiping Allah. He allocated his time rationally to the extend that, he has become one of the few people to have written many Hadiths. Islam also encourage us to toil for our subtainance than beg to live. The Muslims (Hujjajs) considered trading during Hajj as unlawful for which this verse revealed. This should however be done appropriately not to distract our aim of going there. The only thing that will weigh heavier on our scale on day of reckoning is good deeds.

Undoubtedlly, Worship is one of the avenues of reward (good deeds). For this reason is why, our worries must always be on attaining a better Hereafter. Abdul Rahman bun Awf and Uthman bun Affan we’re renowned sahabas who were rich but still had time for Allah. A favor becomes harmful when it deter one from obedience to Allah. Jannah can also be attained by spending and one can’t spend when they have less. Also we can only get after toiling. For instance Uthman bargain of purchasing the wel from the Jew is still benefiting from it.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.

And accomplish (the ceremonies of) Hajj (Pilgrimage) and ‘Umra (Visitation) for Allah. But if you are prevented (on the way), then (send for slaughter) whatever sacrificial animal is available. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place. But whoever amongst you is ill or suffers from some ailment of the head (and because of that gets his head shaved before time), then he has to recompense (it) by (keeping) fasts or (giving) alms or (offering) sacrifice. Then, when in peaceful condition, anyone of you who takes the advantage of combining ‘Umra (Visitation) with Hajj (Pilgrimage) should (offer whatever) sacrifice is available. However, the one who fails to manage even this shall fast for three days during Hajj ([Pilgrimage] days) and for seven days on returning from Hajj, making ten days (fasting) in all. This (dispensation) is meant for the one whose family does not reside in the vicinity of the Sacred Mosque (i.e., not a resident of Mecca). And fear Allah and remember that Allah gives severe punishment.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 42:

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Maqal:

I sat with Ka'b bin Ujra in this mosque, i.e. Kufa Mosque, and asked him about the meaning of:--"Pay a ransom (i.e. Fidya) of either fasting or - - - - (2.196) He said, "I was taken to the Prophet while lice were falling on my face. The Prophet said, 'I did not think that your trouble reached to such an extent. Can you afford to slaughter a sheep (as a ransom for shaving your head)?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'Then fast for three days, or feed six poor persons by giving half a Sa of food for each and shave your head.' So the above Verse was revealed especially for me and generally for all of you."

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
