There were some Muslims who met a man on their way.  The man said salaam to them but they killed him and took his sheep. Thereupon Allah revealed this verse. When we are greeted with peace by the non believers, we are advised to reply in the better or the same. We shouldn't say *"u aren't a Muslim"*. I even have a friend who is neither a Christian,Jew nor Muslim but greet me salaam always. And I always respond to him *Was Alaykum salaam warahmatullah wabarakahtuhu 😀. Being kind the kufaars can lure them to Islam. Our Noble Prophet was of such attitude and it help attract the kufaars to islam.

We all know the story when he helped an old woman with her loads and she was warning him off Muhammad pbuh. She was amazed when she was told the boy/man carrying his loads was Muhammad pbuh himself and accepted Islam at the spot. We also remember the story of a Sahaba who killed a Kafir who uttered the shahada. He upon completing the act ignorantly came to Prophet to disclose the good news. Prophet being already informed of it, made clear to him that he will never be forgiven. It is reported that he cried till he died, and the land refused his corpse. It was placed on a rock with the help of Prophet prayers after the rock disapproval too.

And (recall) when We said to you: ‘Indeed, your Lord has encompassed (all) mankind (within His knowledge and might). And We have made the vision (on the Night of Ascension) that We showed you but a trial for the people; (the believers believed in it, whilst those having superficial vision were confused;) and also that tree (of Zaqqum) which has been cursed in the Qur’an. And We warn them, but this (warning too) does not add anything to them except greater disobedience and rebelliousness.’

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 240:

Narrated Ibn Abbas:

Regarding: 'And We granted the vision (Ascension to the Heaven "Miraj") which We showed you (O Muhammad as an actual eye witness) but as a trial for mankind.' (17.60) It was an actual eye-witness which was shown to Allah's Apostle during the night he was taken on a journey (through the heavens). And the cursed tree is the tree of Az-Zaqqum (a bitter pungent tree which grows at the bottom of Hell).

This incident happened after the demise of Our mother Khadijah bin Huwaydah and Abu Talib. Prophet ascend to the Heavens for the salahts. He met almost Prophets before meeting His Lord for the prayers. There's are two opinions to the story. One is that he truly saw Almighty Allah, while others refute that. There's a hadith by Ayisha bintu Abubakar that Prophet didnt see His Lord. However other scholars refute her claim and that he wasn’t married to Prophet by then. In all *Allahu A'alam*.

It was this ascention that, the people asked Abu Bakar who hasn't been informed by Prophet was asked. He asked then if Prophet really said that, they then sad *yes*, he then concluded then that if he(Prophet) had said so, then it is true. He then came to Prophet to inquire more about it. It was also this ascention that, Prophet Musah petitioned Prophet to go back for reduction of the salahts. Prophet Musah’s pbuh candid reason was that the fifty was voluminous and will be a huge task on us. Prophet did complied till it was reduced to five. However the Merciful Allah promised us that they will be rewarded as fifty shalat. Briefly, it was a miraclous one and most if it is unique.

O believers! It is not lawful for you to become heirs to women by force. And do not retain them by force in order to take (back) from them a portion of what you gave them, unless they commit open indecency. And treat them honourably. Then if you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah places in it abundant good.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 103:

Narrated Ibn Abbas:

regarding the Divine Verse: "O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will, and you should not treat them with harshness that you may take back part of the (Mahr) dower you have given them." (4.19) (Before this revelation) if a man died, his relatives used to have the right to inherit his wife, and one of them could marry her if he would, or they would give her in marriage if they wished, or, if they wished, they would not give her in marriage at all, and they would be more entitled to dispose her, than her own relatives. So the above Verse was revealed in this connection.

When a man dies, his relatives used to have the right to inherit his wife, and  one would marry her if wish, or they will give her hand in marriage if they so wished. And they may even refuse to let her marry too if they wish. They tend to have more right on her than her relatives, until this verse was revealed. Treating people badly is discouraged in Islam not to even talk about women who were created from us. They are weak and becomes weaker after loosing their husband. For this reason maltreating them is uncalled for.

*[6:82] Al-An‘ām-الْأَنْعَام*
"اَلَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ لَمۡ یَلۡبِسُوۡۤا اِیۡمَانَہُمۡ بِظُلۡمٍ  اُولٰٓئِکَ لَہُمُ الۡاَمۡنُ وَ ہُمۡ مُّہۡتَدُوۡنَ ﴿٪۸۲﴾

Those who believe and do not mix up their belief with injustice (of polytheism), it is they who are entitled to peace (i.e., fearlessness in the Hereafter), and it is they who are blessed with guidance.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
